Does speed playing really help?
With the machine being a RNG, does playing as fast as you can improve your odds? Many of my friends say yes, don't let the machine think! but that does not compute for me. If it is randum, than why can't someone just sit back and play the speed they enjoy? Does playing fast help?

The only time I have heard that playing fast helps is in a tournament with a set time limit (to give yourself the most chances at a royal).
For standard play, it shouldn't affect things one way the other as far as the machine is concerned. It might affect your own play, but that's a different issue.

Do these friends think the machine is actually "working against you" trying to figure out the bad cards to deal? Seems awfully silly.

Some people think so. Ha ha. They even write columns about it so you will buy their book, which is a waste of time and money. Must say you can get a few laughs out of that kind of thinking.

THE MACHINES, THE MACHINES, WILL RULE THE WORLD. WE ARE NO MATCH FOR THEM!!
Determined, that was a perfectly legit question. It is one that I've pondered from time to time. Have even changed the speed of the deal on this site when things were going bad. My other phobia is accidently holding the wrong card and just knowing that the time it takes to correct the hold let's the card I needed speed by.

Play at a speed that you're comfortable with. The RNGs are so fast that you can't outfox them by trying to outrun them. If you find yourself noticing that you've held the wrong cards right AFTER you've hit the Draw button ("aw, crap!"), then try going a little slower.

Is it a reasonable thing, I ask you, for a grown man to run about and
hit a ball? Poker's the only game fit for a grown man. Then, your
hand is against every man's, and every man's is against yours.
Teamwork? Who ever made a fortune by teamwork? There's only one way
to make a fortune, and that's to down the fellow who's up against you. ___________________MarvinPlay The Poker League Today, the Poker League is Challenging, and Fun, for players at all levels with Added Cash and FREE Bonus Seats to Live Poker Tornaments Worldwide in 28 Selected Weekly Guaranteed MTT Tournaments, 4 Games a Day 7 Days a Week with a yearly prize pool of over €17 Million . http://www.LINK NOT ALLOWED.com

My preference is for going mano-a-mano with a RNG. Thrills, chills, and spills. A rugged and manly pursuit, even for the ladies. Travel and adventure - one night, Vegas; the next, Atlantic City; after that, Monte Carlo; then finishing up the Grand Tour at the Red Dolly in Black Hawk, Colorado, with prime rib for $4.99. Life doesn't get any better!

Cd you left out the part when you jump on your scooter with sacks of cash under your plastic scooter riding jacket and ride off into the sunset singing "I did it my way."
