GO FOR IT! We tried it once with no regrets and had a fun time. Nothing great happened nor did we have major misadventures. Only three casinos are adjacent to each other. You will need shuttles between the other casinos because it's too far to walk. Log on Tunica casinos for a map to give you a better idea of the area. Click on Search, above, and log in Tunica casinos for previous posts. Those flights fill up FAST so do NOT hesitate OR cancel out later! The casinos are in the middle of nowhere. We do not plan to return because other enticing areas are calling our names.

Thanks Marie
Which are most VP friendly, and which are the three adjacent?

Horseshoe (Harrah's property), Goldstrike (MGM-Mirage) and Sheraton are the three casinos within walking distance of each other. Bally's in Tunica is NOT part of Harrah's property. I am sure I would remember if I found any friendly VP machines there. Shuttles charge $2 per ride and there are free shuttles between Harrah's properties.Ask how late the shuttles run every time you hop on one!I heard tell someone was stranded at Horseshoe one time after the shuttles ceased running. The players club graciously called a security van to take them to their far away Terrace hotel.

Our resident Tunica expert is Pokeherguy. Hopefully, he will chime in here with some thoughts.
The best VP paytables appear to be at the Sheraton.

After we enjoyed that free flight to Tunica, we received more mailed flight offers to Tunica and then Atlantic City. Forum members have asked how to get free flights from Harrah's. I cannot provide specifics but it definitely has to do with that diamond status on Total Rewards card that is not that difficult to achieve. No doubt one's location has an impact as well. Michigan, here.I had more luck in Atlantic City on both trips than on that Tunica trip. I have also received flight invitations to Reno and Vegas but those cost more than we have to pay when special deals arrive on line from Spirit Airlines. It is possible that if you sign up for that Tunica trip, you will also receive more offers for other gambling areas. Perhaps you would receive offers regardless of your decision to fly to Tunica. That first offer specified that if we cancelled out after X date or were a no show, we would be responsible for $200. each for our seats on that plane. Like that or not, it is almost understandable when they can fill plane seats from wait lists. We demand a trip report from you. Bon voyage!

Played there a year ago before a bowl game. Casinos are spread out. We hit fairly well but VP is not all that good. You might check out the current recommendations on

These links will give the best play for the area. May be going again this January for a return bowl trip to Memphis. If so we will stay at Tunica.
Good Luck

Howdy there, yep been there more than a few times. I do actually prefer to play my vp at Harrah's/Tunica. The Sheraton has a nice selection of vp also. Harrah's has plenty of vp to choose from regardless of what game you like to play. I play $2 & $5 single line DDB to the max always. Word is the place to play $5 vp is the Sheraton. If you do get away from Tunica try the Redezvous ribs in Memphis. Anything else I can help you with let me know. The Harrah's also has a great buffet.

Tedlark recommended Harrah's diamond lounge, at the Horseshoe casino in Tunica, in a much earlier post. We did not have a chance to go there but enjoyed the great buffet at Harrah's, previously named the Grand.
