I was wondering if it was just bad personal luck, or have other players found machines tighter than they used to be. I am a either a 5 or10 play STP .25 player, as well as regular 5 play. My favorite game is DDB. I know this is a high variance game, but lately I have found that I rarely get even a 4OAK, or a full house even when dealt 3 OAK, or two pairs. Forget about a big hand. Before Sept, I was averaging at least one 1099 hit, per visit, sometimes two. Lately, I am happy to walk out with my clothes on! It seems like everyone I talk to is having this same problem, with payouts being less frequent, even on small hands. BTW, I play at the Borgata, Foxwoods, and Mohegan Sun. Thoughts, anyone?

You have just described my most recent casino trip. I couldn't hit the proverbial Bull in the ... with a Bass fiddle.

Vp is streaky. It always has been and always will be. This year has been particularly streaky for me, but it has nothing to do with the machines. As long as the paytables are the same your chances are the same.
I started out the year really cold, warmed up for 1.5 months. Cooled off again for a month. Played even for a month. Got really cold for two months. Got really hot for 2 months ... OK, I think you get the picture.

It has been very, very bad this year for me as well. I had only two taxable wins.

When you are in the casino, are you aware of the same # of pay-outs? Flashing lights, bells, etc?

How much of this do we think is a result of TITO? Payouts as low as $300 were often Handpays due to the restrictions of the amount of coins that were able to be stored in a machine. Now, all payouts $1199 or less are handled by TITO.
