VP in Miami area?
Going to Miami for a couple of days and wondering if there are any casinos in that area that have vp. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From what I remember reading a while back, the slot machines in florida are class II slot machines (though someone else needs to confirm this).
"Class II" slot machines (also known as "video lottery terminals" or "VLTs") are connected to a centralized computer system that determines the outcome of each wager. In this way, Class II slot machines mimic scratch-off lottery tickets in that each machine has an equal chance of winning a series of limited prizes.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL has Class III gaming. The find a game on this site shows them with 3/5/10 play and Super Times Pay. Check out their Web site for directions and further info.

It seems it was about a year ago that Florida allowed class III gaming. I'm not sure all the games will be class III so it's good to be careful when looking at machines.

Shadowman you are right. Only the machines in Broward County where the Hard Rock is located have class III machines. The last I read they were almost 100% Class III.
It is my understanding that they kept a number of class II slots because of their enormous take.

The casinos affiliated with the Indian tribes do a a few Class II mixed in. Not many, but they are there.

There are several casinos that offer video poker and they are all class three machines. The Mardi Gras casino and dog track in Hallandale the Gulfstream Casino . The Isle Casino in pompano and the coconut creek casino also in Pompano. The Hard Rock in Hollywood is closest to a las Vegas Casino. The Hard Rock has Blackjack and other table games.
