Love & Hate(dont like)

Post by sam4343 »

I dont play 100% perfect stradgey. Maybe you can relate? Was dealt on DDB 2346 spades and 4 diamonds, kept  44 caught 44 plus 3 for 800credits $ 200(love) Then two weeks ago dealt on TDB ace, ace 44and 8 kept ace,ace up comes 442 which would payed $500,(dont like) I know i played it right and will always keep the pair of aces but it sticks when that happens. Also on same trip(Foxwoods)on another machine  TDB was dealt pat hand 2222ace for $500 i pulled my card before i hit deal button. I ve also was dealt66 and ace, king, queen spades kept ace,k,q  two cards that come up are 66,(dont like) Reasons i said i pulled card before hitting deal button was buy what credit dept. with points on card i,ve spent about 140,000$in and out of machines they say im down 1290$ for the year, i have also been dealt other pat hands and pulled my card before i hit deal button(some ive missed pulling card)my bad, what the credit dept. said to me was that if i pulled card before deal that it would not show up on my win list. Can anybody else add to this any input?

sam4343, pulling your card works in some systems and not in others. So, I doubt you will ever know for sure. Out in Las Vegas I believe all the systems will credit the win even if you pull the card.

Also, keep in mind that holding different cards results in different draws (at least for VP machines less than 10 years old). The act of selecting two 4s in your case above would have resulted in different timing of pressing the draw button (we're talking microseconds here). Lot's of people have trouble accepting this but it really is true.

Hi jose, you should start up a conversation with Eduardo in Spanglish.

Hey Shadow,   You are a virtual treasure trove of info.  I'm curious as to
what your expertise is and how you know all these statistics.  Are you a
professional VP player or do you have a day job?  Would be nice to meet you next
Thurs. in Vegas but perhaps you are tied up at that time

Kjohn,

I'm a retired software engineer (math degree). I've been playing VP for over almost 20 years. My knowledge is due to my own efforts in learning about VP. The internet is a vast source of information, sorting out what's good and what's bad does take time and effort.

My (part time) day job is VP although my first priority is golf.

My husband is a retired civil engineer and golf is also his favorite pastime...His brother is a professional golf pro. and they both grew up with golf clubs in their hands.    He doesn't play VP but stays plenty busy in Vegas while I pass the time improving my game and enjoying the free accommodations and food..  So,  are you going to be around on the 22nd?  We'd love to meet you.   I like to play at the end by the feast and then towards the center where they have the $1. machines.   I sent you a personal note but never heard back from you....but perhaps you are tied up on that night.....KJ

Kjohn,

When was the last time you were at GVR? Machines have been moved around. I rarely play there so I can't tell you if the machines you mentioned have been moved.

I'm pretty sure I will be able to meet up next week. Still some uncertainty in my schedule. I will let you know in a couple of days.

I haven't been to GV for a year...We've been staying at RR and will be there on Fri. and Sat.  but we couldn't get a room there Thurs. so it's GV.  The last time I was there they were switching machines around, which was not to my liking.  I like those machines that pay 50 for a FH if they still have them.  My favorite bank of triple play were gone.  But for one evening it will be fine.  Let me know and if it works out ans I'll email you a picture of me and my hubby and you can tell me where you'll be.  It's always nice to meet a local and learn the inside scoop.  My husband would like to know more about the golf courses also.   Keep in touch.  KJ

Shadowman, I know what ur saying about the microsecounds on the new(10years or newer VP) i PLAY 90% on new machines.will allways keep the ace's, but boy its eartating. I think its happen to all of us. In regards to the pat hands dealt to us example 44442 TDB how can the VP machine know we have winning, i know it shows u have winning hand on the screen, but till u push the deal button the secound time(because buy accident u could throw 4 4away then have a loosing hand)so in this way before u  press button for secound deal it would have allready credited account with a winning hand. Do u think the manufactures of the VP machines would know the answer to this? Trust me im not going to be to upset if im dealt pat hands nobody is just happy to get good hand. Im going to Foxwoods/MGM this week will see if i can talk with somebody down there with more insight, i dont think there many casino employes that have answer to this?Maybe credit dept. Manager? Thanks for repling.
