Thanks for the article, Ted. Insert an apostrophe after the second letter of "WMS Gaming" and you'll see who's running things over there.
It's a tough time to be trying to get a piece of the casino pie. The article mentions how expensive it was to get their new machines approved by regulators. I'm sure it took much longer than GoldenTee thought it would, too.

The cost of jumping the regulatory hurdles blew my mind too cd, what I also foound funny was that the age of the company CEO was mentioned in the article. What exactly does her age have to do with their manufacturing slot machines?

Ted, not too sure if now is a good time to be launching a new company in a market dominated by Bally, WMS and IGT. None of the casinos are stumbling over each other to fill their game floors with new machines right now. They're more concerned about staying afloat as opposed to buying new slots etc. Even finding new buyers for old properties is a chore.

I am also thinking that too, Ed, it's not exactly the right timing for starting a venture such as this. I would have enjoyed running just what they spent getting the machines passed by the regulatory agencies through a FPDW machine. Ted.

Unlike many VP players here, I enjoy playing a slot or two occasionally. My one and only W2-G came from a slot machine. I like Wheel of Fortune. There were some new offerings at the G2E last year I would like to play in a casino.

Well I agree with all you have said here, with one exception. The indian casinos in California would take a chance on this I think. It gives them good reason to get rid of some more video poker as most of these casinos are now just large slot machine emporiums with table games mixed in.

Most injun casinos here have a smattering of VP mixed in. Most of the visitors don't play VP and the machines are MG/MD so locals play keno all day. That's why I like to visit late at night! When the locals are away, Da Cat will play!

Ed I also enjoy playing the new video slots occasionally too, my favorite is one called "Treasure's of Troy". My girlfriend hates this game because she never wins on it. While coming back on a different route from O'Hare airport yesterday I found a bingo parlor here in the Chicago area, in a western suburb, that I never knew was there. Since the squeeze likes bingo we might make a stop there and try our luck too.

Confession time-I also like playing the penny and nickel video slots. when we either are real down in money but dont want to go to the room, or when we are winning and want to protect our winnings,we will play pennies/nickel video slots. I like Treasures of Troy as well! Also Cleopatra (when I get the bonus round!) and a few that I saw on my cruise-anyome ever see Flaming Phoenix in AC?
