Max bet for the progressive?
Do you have to place the max bet to win the progressive?

Yes. All I have ever seen you have to bet max.

Yes, if it were any other way we'd all be getting filthy rich.

sadly many times people hit it and don't have the max in. I always feel sad for them when they realize what they had just lost. If I am playing a progressive always playing max.

Nothing worse than someone hogging a ripe progressive machine playing one coin.

Oh man that was the first thing I learned playing VP, always plax max bet. I play with this one lady who plays like a spaz. She hits one bet, then 3 then max then 2. Just like a VP on crack and red bull. Then she hits the quads with only 2 credits and shouts I knew it. I'm like...

I have seen many players hit a royal with one coin. They know what they are doing and do it to get the comp drinks. When they do hit they want the mechanic or supervisor and complain that they were playing max and want the big payoff. No such luck.
