Caesar's Windsor
Spent last weekend in Windsor at the casino. I played hours and hours of video poker. My husband played slots. We had a little luck in the mornings and then nothing. I did put $20 in a .25 slot machine and hit for $500. That was the best we did and we still came home losers. We had an expensive time but it was fun. They told us at the border that as of June 1st you must have a passport to get back into the states or else you'll become a permanent resident of Canada.

Beema, Friday night the gal next to me hit $500 on a .25 machine on DDB around 11:00 PM at Caesar Windsor. We attended the great performance of CHICAGO. Half hour back up at the tunnel per radio so we bucked the construction traffic tie up at the Ambassador bridge. Red Wings were playing at The Joe. Tried for a comp room but they were all taken. Alas, the FREE concerts, buffets and rooms are costing us a BUNDLE at that beautiful casino! GO GREEN - MSU in the FINAL FOUR at Ford Field, Detroit!

marie you might appreciate the following: Last night on the way home from the Hospital. the radio station I was tuned to had a call in show done by two lawyers. When they first came on they were talking about the Final Four games in Dtroit. The one lawyer made the crack that the Final Four games would be the only reason anyone would go to Detroit. He then quickly said" We don't have any Detroit listeners, do we?" The other one replied " Nah."
SO, when I called them and told them that I was from Detroit and took exception to their remark and asked for air time to do a 1/2 hour of what I really thought about Eastern North Carolina they stumbled all over themselves.
They evidently hadn't learned to " Be vevy, vevy quiet, there might be rabbits around." I love it when little things. are handed to you in life.

Atta boy faygo, you ROCK! ty! I can't defend SE MI all by myself! We enjoyed the play at the gorgeous art deco FISHER Theater on Grand Blvd Sun. After the play, my husband caught the last half of THE GAME at a bar in Greektown while I lost a little on VP. We enjoy a lot of what that city has to offer.

It truly is amazing how they put down Detroit when they all moved there because it was the only place a man could make a decent living.

GO GREEN - MSU in the FINAL FOUR at Ford Field, Detroit! No offense Faygo and Marie but I'm sticking to my guns on my wagers for now. I have wagers on both UNC and UConn. Again, nothing personal, just preference.

Last weekend I read a small article in the Chicago Tribune about the NCAA Championship game that pitted MSU against Indiana State. Although I don't recall every detail of that particular game as I WAS still just a youngster but I do recall Magic vs. Larry, their first real explosion on to the national stage. I'm pulling for UNC only because one of their players went to my high school but MSU gets some props too because they are Big Ten.

Marie - Agree that Detroit has a lot to offer besides the casinos (which we love!). Just have to be aware of where you are in the city and not do some dumb stuff. Were you at Greektown last Sunday?

Affirmative, but only for the second half of MSU's BIG WIN! There's ONE friendly machine that hits a lot but unfortunately too many others have also discovered the magic and it's usually taken - for hours! MGM today, briefly. Don't ask! Doing "dumb stuff" is my specialty but I hear you! Keys and whistle are ready and I keep aware of surroundings. My car knows the expressways to "major attractions", I avoid getting lost on side streets or running low on gas. Unfortunately, crime seems on the upswing in the 'burbs as well, such as purse snatching, stealing cars or breaking into cars. Just heard 12% unemployment here as sadly being worst in nation.
