How was your 1st Quarter of 2009?
Just wondering for those who go frequently... how has the first 3 months of 2009 has been for you?
Personally mine has been a disaster. Haven't hit a Royal Yet. Seems ever since the economy tanked so has the 1099's. Last 3 times I have been I have averaged only 4 or 5 - 4 of Kinds in an 6 hour session.
But thats just me... lets hear it from everyone else... is it play as normal or has your winnings been below your average for some odd reason?

'Sad to say it's also a disaster here as well! No royals or W2Gs YET and not for lack of trying! T G for awaks and deuces! I like to think my game is improving, but beginning to wonder! Last year I had six royals including one for $5000 by this time. How I wish there were a standard form from all casinos for win/loss statements and same requirements for getting them, preferably on line from all casinos. The jackpots/W2s are listed on the W/L statements to whomever just asked. MGM had all my play at Monte Carlo where I have not played for a few years. A few weeks later they sent corrected win/loss. The amounts were the same just the venue wrong.

I had something like that happen a few years ago, when the Aladdin in Vegas became Planet Hollywood. The day after I filed my taxes, I received revised W-2G's from PH. The government never made a peep, so I didn't worry about it.
As for the original question, I'm up $700 at the moment for the year, with 3 RF's on quarter play. Last of the high-rollers.

HAVE BEEN TO LASVEGAS TWICE (SO FAR) FIRST TRIP WAS GREAT COME HOME WITH SEVERAL $1,000 OF THEIR MONEY. WENT BACK IN MARCH AND GAVE IT ALL BACK AND THEN SOME. PLAYED THE SAME GAMES AT THE SAME PLACES JUST COULD NOT SEEM TO HIT ANYTHING. MAYBE MY THIRD TRIP WILL BE THE ONE.

Let's see; it's 9:10 pm right now in Chicago so if I take a quick shower and get to the casino by 10:15 and hit 2.5 royals by midnight I'll break even for the first quarter of 2009. If I skip the shower that'll give me an extra 30 minutes to play and because I just got done with a workout I'll probably have the whole bank of machines to myself.

As soon as I saw "skip the shower" I knew what zinger I was going to send your way, but then you saved me the trouble by finishing the thought yourself. Thanks, Ted!
We've had many interesting discussions here, but we've never talked about whether machines pay better pre- or post-shower.

I don't know about that, the machines and their abilities to pick up aromas cd. I do remember that when I went to Four Winds last Sunday morning I did take a shower but I forgot to put a splash of cologne on so maybe the particular machines I was playing on have a thing for: "A man smelling like a man." Well unless we're playing in Monte Carlo and there all of the Frenchmen smell like lillies naturally, lol...

Of course I am compelled to submit my two cents (is it scents?) worth. Is that lillies in a hothouse or lillies in a compost pile? How does that affect your "run through town" play?

I'll put in my two-scents (again) and say that pre- and post-shower issues would be in the "A" part of the play that you mentioned.
