Monte Carlo in 2 weeks

Post by skystryd »

Have a 4 day stay.  Did notice all the FP 9/6 machines seems to be 5$ and up.A bit steep for my pockets.  Suppose I will roam around looking for similar 1$ machines.Anyone been lately?  Suggestions where not to bother (casinos) -mainly on strip.?  Suggestions which machines not to bother with?While on subject and in a posting mood..  One must eat.  I heard Excalibur has an all day buffet special.  Anyone know if its a 'reel' deal or not?My son will be doing the WSOP - I'll stick with VP.  Better yet - its his 21st birthday - he stays @ RIO.  Wife and I stay Monte Carlo in something called the Diamond Suite.  Heard of it?  Good price air/hotel thru Us Airways Vacations (not connected with them in anyway - just found them to have lower prices than normal online booking sties)._popupControl();

  There aren't a lot of "FP" machines on the strip properties. Good luck. A few places do have buffets that issue a wrist band good for the whole day. If you eat like you have a tapeworm, you may want to check them out. Your kid is staying at the Rio? Go visit and walk across the street to the Palms. Better selection, better paytables in all denoms.

agree.. I'll avoid the buffets .. now when your 21 - $ goes elsewhere!  food becomes secondary.I think the son is tied to rio..thats where wsop is being held.  he has two seats so far.. can't even sign for them till we get there (16th is his 21st b-day).  all in all he will be there 2+ weeks at least.  if he wins past the second round in either.. could be total of 3 weeks.Did find FP's at most casinos.. there are just 5$ and up.  NY NY has some 1-2$ .. or so they say.  Suggestions on what to play (failing the fp's 9/6's) whats left??thxsky-

Umm, what's a "FP" machine? Sorry, I have no clue what you all are referring to. I am going to Vegas July 24-28. Staying (comped) at the Palazzo, but if anyone has any suggestions about a better casino around there for video poker and what types to play I am open. Thanks, Donna

Umm, what's a "FP" machine? Sorry, I have no clue what you all are referring to.  Donna, the term  "FP" refers to "full pay" or machines which have an expected return of near or over 100%. More recently, many choose to use the term "positive return rather than full pay." Some games such as 8/5 Bonus Poker and 9/6 Jacks or Better clearly return less than 100% but are the best paytables for that game thus the term FP was dropped although many still use it.
