4 Royals in 24 Hours!

Last year I took my wife to the Beau Rivage Biloxi for a couple of days of rest.  I had only been in the Casino about 15 minutes when I hit a $4,000 Royal. I haven't seen one of those for about two years. When they bought me the money I joked with the girl that I was going to get another one. Ten minutes later, I hit another $4,000 Royal. Man what a day.. The next day I decided to go over to the Isle of Capri as they have some 9/6 Jacks or Better. I started out playing quarters and in about 20 minutes I hit a $1,000 Royal. I laughed it off and went to another machine and started with $1s. I'll be damned if I didn't hit another $4,000 Royal. I was stunned... $13,000 in two days. Sounds like a story, but it happened. By the way, I bought a Lotto ticket on the way home, but I didn't win!

Dang Phil you had no luck at all not hitting the lottery!  I have dreamed of hitting a royal again--it has been a long, long time since I did.  Had four of the royal this morning at the casino--got nothing!  Congrats!

I had 3 royals over two days once at the Grand in Tunica about 9 years ago. That's my best. My wife has had 3 royals in one day ... twice. In one situation she held the AKQ of hearts all 3 times on 3 different machines. Weird!
 
I did have a very lucky twenty minutes this past weekend. After losing almost $2500 I was leaving and I had forgot to get my total points on the last machine. So, I decided to play one more benji. I hit two $500, $750 and $2000 jackpots over the course of about 100 hands. All were hand pays which accounted for most of the time. Oh, I also remembered to get my points.

Congratulations on the nice RF run, Phil.    When someone posts a story like that at least one of us suggests picking up some lotto tickets as well, but you beat us to the punch on that.

The Four Royals came last September.  Two were at the Beau Rivage the other two were at the Isle of Capri.  Since then, I only have had one Royal.  I drew one straight up at the Hard Rock in Tampa about two weeks ago.   I've had a lot of very wierd thinks happen.  I got into Deuces Wild for a while and got four sets of 4 deuces in about 20 minutes sitting at the bar at the Beau Rivage.  The funniest thing was at the Hard Rock in Tampa.  I had played all morning and was totally busted except for a $5 bill I was keeping for a soda and sandwich on the way home.   I walked by a Video Poker machine and decided to give it one more try with my last $5 (pitiful..).  I put the $5 in the machine and went with DDB $1s.  I hit the button and up came the most beautiful 4 Aces I had ever seen.  I was tempted to play some more, but ran out of the casino a winner.  I laughed all the way home that day.  Winning is a lot more fun than loosing...
