DW 3 cards to royal
what is the correct play if you draw 1 deuce and 2 cards to a royal with an ace. do you keep the 3 cards or just the deuce. i know you hold 3 to a royal if there is no ace but heard two versions if one card is an ace. someone said to hold all three while i was also told to just hold the deuce

I assume you're referring to FPDW because the rules are different in games like NSUD. That is due to the fact that flushes pay 3:1 vs. 2:1.
The easiest rule is to hold the 3RF with an ace if you have no penalties. That is, no other face card or ten and nothing in the same suit to discard. While there are other possible considerations the impact is so small that I would not be concerned.
