January Contests!
Dear VideoPoker.com members,
We have two contests to tell you about this month.
First, our January Contest featuring one of the most popular new games, Ultimate X Poker.
If you haven’t played it yet - either on the Web site or in a casino –
you’ll love the bonus multiplier that’s awarded based on your previous
hand. This game can really produce some high scores.
The member with the highest points in the contest wins up to 3 nights at the beautiful MGM Signature in Las Vegas! Plus we’ll send VideoPoker.com merchandise packages to our top five point runners up, and Ultimate X caps to the top 25.
The contest starts on Monday, January 25th and ends on Sunday, January 31st. Beginning Monday, you can enter the contest by clicking here or visiting VideoPoker.com. In the meantime, if you want to play and practice Ultimate X Poker, you can play right now by clicking here.
Next,
our friends at the Atlantis Casino in Reno have a free online contest
going on right now. It concludes on January 31st, and features another
one of our new games, Dream Card Poker. They are giving away $5,000 in prizes
including two free nights in a Jacuzzi Suite, round trip airfare for
one ($500 maximum value) and $200 in free slot play to their first
place winner. Click here to enter their contest now.
We hope you enjoy both of these contests.

Webman, I have a question about the Atlantis Contest. In the rules it says you must be a member of there club. Does this have to be done before you win?? or if you did win can you join when you get there??? go to know before a lot of time is invested. Thanks Paul

Great question, Paul. My understanding was that you would simply have to join the club if you claim a prize but reading the terms now I can see how it might seem otherwise. I will contact them for the official word and let you know as soon as I hear.

I tried to sign up to play in the Atlantis contest but got a message that Missouri and Oklahoma don't allow online play. I sent an e-mail to the address specified in the message, explaining that I live in Mississippi, and got a reply from Atlantis stating that Mississippi doesn't allow online play. That's ridiculous, because I am a gold member here at videopoker.com and play all the time.

Imelda,Unfortunately, the rules and regulations are different for contests on videopoker.com and contests on sites from casino licensees. Mississippi and Oklahoma have laws particular to casino licensees that restrict online participation in certain contests.Because that particular contest is being run by Atlantis, membership here is not a factor. But we did want to let all of our members know about it so they can play if they qualify.Stay tuned for our VideoPoker.com January Contest that starts Monday, featuring Ultimate X.

Thanks, Webman, but the Atlantis website says that MISSOURI and Oklahoma won't let you play. If, in fact, they mean to say MISSISSIPPI, they need to correct the message generated by their website. I'm a member of the Mississippi Bar, and I don't believe Mississippi has such a regulation. If so, I'd be interested in finding out what statute or law prohibits participating in online contests.

What would happen if you would accidentally enter a different zip code?
