Top 10 Casinos
Just saw the published list of "Top 10 Casinos to Visit in 2010" according to the casinocitytimes in the Sunday paper Travel Section on Vegas.
1. Monte Carlo Casino - Monaco
2. Aria Resort & Casino – Las Vegas
3. Red Rock Casino & Resort – Las Vegas
4. M Resort – Henderson, Nev.
5. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino- Incline Village, Nev.
6. Casino de Mont-Tremblant – Quebec, Canada
7. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa - Atlantic City, N.J.
8. Sands Casino Resort – Bethlehem, Pa.
9. Mohegan Sun – Uncaville, Conn.
10. Foxwoods Resort Casino – Mashantucket, Conn.
We will have to consider adding #5 Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe to our list of "Casinos to Play". We already had Red Rock, Aria, and M, and still wanting a East Coast swing to catch Borgata, Mohegan Sun, and Foxwoods. Haven't heard much about #8 Sands. May need to add it while on the East Coast swing.
This summer we hope to hit one of the Alaskan Indian casinos so we will have from Alaska to Florida; Maine (Bangor) to California. If only Texas would get smart, we wouldn't have to travel so much!

Marksman,
I have attached the link for the CasinoCityTimes article. The list I read was from the newspaper so I looked up the actual article.

vpwilis,
The end blessing of 35 years of working in the public education system and living fairly frugally. We both love to travel and have enjoyed reducing travel costs on many a trip by using comps from the gaming companies. Our hosts at one location contact the enroute casino and make the arrangements. We have always found our hosts were more than helpful and we now receive offers from those casinos as well. Good for future travel plans.
Besides what a great way to combine two of our favorite activities.
One of our all-time favorite trip/plays was on a cruise. We went to an island casino (100+ machines and tables) located at a new beach resort on a rainy day and had one slot tech and a waitress all to ourselves for four hours while we waited out the rain.

Just noticed the top ten casinos to visit for 2010 and that the Sands in Bethlehem was on the list. May be a good place to visit but certainly not to play video poker. Check the pay tables and you'll see why. I live 10 minutes from the Sands and still go to A/C or Vegas when I can. Will see around July or so how the table games pay !

Hey Larry how come you don't have the "Tangiers" in Las Vegas on your list? Remember, that's the casino in "Casino" that was run by Sam "Ace" Rothstein. Ahh, the good old days...
Opps, my Chicago roots are showing.

Yes the good ol' Tangiers. Interestingly there is a Tangiers hotel tower in the Sahara. When I started to go to Vegas on a regular basis in the late 90's before I earned free rooms and comps with the "nicer" resorts, the Sahara was my "home base" casino. Easy access off Paradise Ave and good cheap games. With the movie "Casino" only being a few years old at the time, I would always request a room in the Tangiers tower, just kind of felt like the right place to be since the Sands and all the other true-roots casinos had been demolished several years earlier. Thanks Ted for reminding me of some great times.
