I play at the Grand for now but to be truthfull I am thinking about trying some of the other casino's. Any suggestions? I like to play $1.00 VP at max and sometimes play $2.00 VP at max. I did try the Horseshoe but hated the type of poker machines they had.

I've been there 4 times. I always played at the Grand since at the time it was the only casino to have positive VP, a version of One-eyed Jacks Wild only found at Grand Casinos. I haven't been there in about 4 years, does anyone know if they still have One-eyed Jacks Wild?

I have played at Tunica several times. I did best at Sam's Town but it was perhaps the smokiest casino I have ever been in, except for riverboats. Frankly, I don't like the layout at Tunica, with the casinos being so far apart. It's a drive from one to the next. Plus Tunica itself is way the hell out in the middle of nowhere. My first choice is Vegas, second is Biloxi.

Just got back from Tunica. First stop was the Grand, hit 4 Aces for $800.00 and 4 Dueces for $400.00 within 30 minutes of getting there. Stayed at Hollywood hit 4 Kings for $250.00. Made it home with about $500.00 of it..
ps. Eat at Fairbanks Steakhouse at Hollywood its wonderful!

The good one eyed jacks is gone from the Grand. The best they have is 9/6 JOB. In general, Tunica has really tightened up.

I kinda hinted a bit at that same thing wtrotter but it seems that there is no such thing as a machine being tight or loose since each hand is completely random so I've been told. If you have played at Tunica and happen to play the $1.00 VP machines have you noticed a difference between the machines on the south-end compared to those on the north-end? Everyone I know that plays VP is saying something about this because it has become so obvious. I don't remeber the time I saw a hand pay on these machines. I had a very good trip just recently at the Grand I hit a $8K royal and of corse it was on the south-end. I played my share on the north-end once again but hit nothing at all and never saw anyone hit anything above four 9's for $250.

Correct, tight/loose for VP machines refers to degrading/improving paytables or eliminating/adding machines with good returns. The OEJs I asked about were 100% payback so by eliminating them the casino has, in a sense, tightened their machines.
One of the casinos I play has the exact same machines in different parts of the casino. It seems like one of the areas is always "cooler" but it changes over time. Another facet of randomness.
