How was your 1st Quarter of the Year?
So for those of you who keep track how was the first 1/4 of the year for you? Personally, I am way up from this time last year, but I may be playing a little more as well.

I didn't play that much ... 77K hands. However, I managed a nice 103.7% return on my play plus good CB/BB. My best 1st quarter ever.

I'm at 101.1% if I include my CB/BB, with a little more play than shadowman. I've got one taxable jackpot so far (a RF on 50-cent play) and that's been my only RF - so "I'm due" for more.

I have continued a losing streak that began in December 2008. I have not had a taxable hit since then. I did leave Saturday night with a seven dollar win. It has been BAD!

Boy, I'm going to have to hang out with you 100%+ folks. I've had a losing quarter, year, decade..
What's the game of choice for you folks that have positive returns this 1st quarter?

So far so good. Can't get worse than last year cause I won't play that much..Two tax slips and 4 royals so far...Next Vegas trip in 2 weeks...Billyj I play triple play and single line DDB most the time...I keep it simple..I don't play any of the new games like Ultimate X, Dream Card etc...mostly quarters but some $ if I'm ahead..I like the full pay multi denomination at RR and GVR. Never hit a royal on those but hit A's often...comp rooms and most food. What is CB/BB...Here's to the next quarter....

This year it's mainly been single line $.25 8/5 BP and 9/6 JoB for me. The latter had about disappeared from the Black Hawk/Central City casinos here in CO but in the last year some places have started offering it again for some reason. Take away the one 50-cent RF I've got and I'd be in the hole. So I don't have any secrets to share.
There's a question I've been meaning to ask those who may be more familiar with casino operations than me. Last summer our regs were changed to allow higher denomination play ($100 a bet). All of the multidenom machines I've seen here that allow those higher denoms have them in strange combinations - like $.25 / $1 / $2 or $.25 / $1 / $5. Is there a reason for that, or is it just one of those things?

That is strange, CD. Most of what I have seen is $.25-$.50-$1.00 or $1-$2-$5.

CD, I think the denoms are part of the setup operations. So, it is the casino doing it.
