AC Trip

Post by faygo »

Tangueray made me() go to AC over the Memorial weekend.
Day 1:  Friday, I would have made more money on VP.com
Played $1 VP and .25. DDB , nothing it was plain terrible
Not one quad. Counted 9 dealt trips all day.
Picked up my $1500 Breakfast machine ( much less to just buy)
Tanguerays day was equally as lousy.
            Called it a day
Day2:   Saturday, The reels of fortune turned around somewhat.
Finally ended my SF drought on Joker, 9 on one machine
             Zero 5trees
$1 VP was just plain awful again. No quads.
Did get Aces and quad Dueces on a .25 DDB game.
Played a $2 DDB machine and finally hit a quad for $500.
Tangueray had a $1500 handpay on a Double Diamond slot
and a  Royal on SL .25 DDB. Dealt Ad,Kd,J,d,Qc,Qs
tossed the Queens and drew 10d and Qd. (Go Figure)
Thinking about skipping the last day when I downloaded $20 of
into a Double Diamond $5 slot and on the first spin got double
             Red Sevens for $800.
Picked up the Georgr Foreman grills

             Played in the $50K slot
Tournament  and called it a day. Results mucho better, close to
             even for the trip.
Day3:   Sunday, No luck again on the $1 VP. Play. Played some slots and
.25 VP .  Got enough on the quarters to waste the day.  Wandered
by the $2 VP machine and saw a fortunate fella being paid for
Aces with a 4 kicker. He had held One Ace and the 4(Go Figure)
I played the $2 machine later and got 4 Aces for a nice $1600.
Tangueray won a Netbook in the drawing.
Played the 2nd day of the tounament and called it a day.
Day 4AM: Late checkout, nothing doing on the $1 VP. Sat down at the $2
and proceeded to get the credit meter up to 935. Then
Greed and Varience kicked in. Instead of cashing and hitting the
road, just one more hit to get to 1000 credits. You know the rest
of the story. Cashed $400 and left. Must remmber to take my
              brain along next time.

Very good report. Other than that last part.

Did not know you were such a high roller. Overall an enjoyable weekend from the sound of it.

I enjoyed your trip report and it's nice to realize you are a mere mortal and can lose like the best of us! Enjoy that netbook - what a great drawing prize! I think a netbook is saving our marriage when we travel and at home. This is especially so, after Jane Michaels was able to instruct me how to turn off sound, during chat (click on lower right hand side to silence sound) ! VP game sounds had competed w hubby's TV programs/games.

Oh I have been rolled high and low. I try to give all denoms a shot at making me happy.  I only sucumbed to pennies one time though. When you get something on them they crank the credits like crazy and then you do the math and it a whopping seven dollars.

Seven dollars can buy a lot of tacos. Do not underestimate the power of 7 tacos.

Don't be too hard on yourself, faygo. I've done the same thing many times ... and sometimes I've even won more money.

In fact, a couple of times I've been right at an even amount and paused to consider cashing out, then on the first hand after continuing hit a jackpot.

Tangueray does pretty good on the slots Faygo and congrats on winning the Netbook too. I still use the George Foreman I got from Showboat East Chicago (before it was Ameristar before it was Resorts before it was Harrahs) and I gave another one away. Eduardo is not kidding about the power of the taco.

Thanks SM. I have come to terms with it. We all know that a big hit is just , so to speak, one pull away.
