September Contest: Double STP
Dear VideoPoker.com members,
It's time for our Free September Contest featuring one of our newer games, Double Super Times Pay Poker.
This is an exciting game that gives you frequent multiplier action.
With maximum bet per hand, two multipliers are possible - on the deal
and again on the draw - for a combined multiplier of up to 20X!
The Grand Prize Winner will win a $500 Visa Gift Card and a free 1 year subscription to both Casino Player and Strictly Slots
magazines. We will also award gift cards to four runners-up. In
addition, the top five scores without a dealt royal flush will win a
bonus prize consisting of some VideoPoker.com merchandise.
The contest starts now, and ends at midnight Pacific on Thursday, September 30th. Click here when you're ready to enter or visit the home page.

No other complaints so far... that sounds like internet connection problems if the chat shut off. If anyone else is having problems (bad cards don't count! ) please let us know at forum@videopoker.com

So far with the top 2 scores as of today (9-25) How does someone get a 20X on the DEAL when the limit for both deal & draw is 10X??

Hey Ski, Any dealt royal that also has any multiplier (on the deal or the draw or both) automatically gets a 20x multiplier, so 29/225 of the dealt royals (about 13%) get a score of 20 x 12000 = 240,000 on a single hand.

That's correct... the 20x multiplier on the deal is a feature of Double Super Times Pay for any dealt royal with a multiplier. We should have several more this contest... In a casino on quarters, that's a $60,000 win on 3 lines. Not bad for one deal, and very lucky. That's one reason why the Bonus prizes this contest are for the top scores excluding any dealt royals, since these rare 20x events cause such a huge discrepancy in the scores (even more-so than in other multi-line games).

Thank you for starting these tournaments! However, this is my least favorite game for a tournament. That multiplier takes way too long as it dances along the cards, and I lose the flow of the game while I sit and wait to discover what the multiplier will be.

A dealt royal flush pays 12,000 for 3 lines, that's correct. You only get the 240,000 if a multiplier is enabled (in which case it will be a 20x no matter what the multiplier would have been).
