Deuce Royals?
I've been playing Deuces a lot lately and seem to enjoy this game more than the others. It lets me keep up with the machine longer than DDB and it has the excitement of the 4 deuce jackpot. Am I less likely to get a real Royal playing deuces? I've had seven royals in the last 2 years playing JB & DDB, but haven't had one on deuces yet.

Royals are a little less common in Deuces than in say DDB. The main reason? No jacks or better payout, so you're not holding face cards as much in deuces (plus you're holding 2's that will get you nowhere towards a natural royal on those hands).
In DDB I think a royal is about 1/40,000
Deuces is closer to 1/43,000
So yes, it's less but really not too much. The good thing is that you can generally play longer (which can buy you more chances at the royal on a small bankroll).

Eduardo is correct. Due to the strategies of the games, natural royals are less common in deuces wild. I do not play deuces much anymore though, I'm more of a DDB and other bonus variant type games player now. It just makes my stomach curdle when I get quad aces with a kicker in deuces wild for only 20 credits or maybe 75-80 credits vs 2000 credits in DDB or 4000 credits in TDB. I can handle getting 4 twos/deuces with no kicker in DDB for only 400 credits better vs the 1000 credits in deuces.

Eduardo is correct for NSUD the average number of hands is over 43,000 and for FPDW the number is over 45,000. However, there are worse games, DB is over 48,000.

What makes my stomach curdle is pumping $1,000 into DDB without a quad of any kind. I've even had three day trips to Biloxi without a decent quad. I still take a quick shot at DDB about once an hour just to see what happens and have had some nice payouts. We're all losing in the long run anyway. You pay our money and you pick your fate ... quick death or long slooow death. On the other hand, the days when everything goes right make it all worth it!

Tired of getting torched on DDB. I wasnt getting rf's on any of em so what difference does it make.

On bonus deuces wild you have the different payouts for the 5trees and the 4deuceswith an ace pays 2000 max bet. I find that exciting. I have lost my taste for ddb and anything with kickers cause I never seem to get them. Got dealt 4 aces my last foray into DDb and didnt get the kicker even though there was 12 left in the deck. So I won 800 bucks instead of the 1200 I would have in WHA

Yup its nauseating. I did it last night. I had hit Aces one way or another about 5 times and every other 4 of a kind for the night. Only 4oak I had not hit was 2's so I switched over to dueces right after hitting 4 Kings on Super Double and sure enough out comes AAAAK tossed the king hoping for a 2 since it was Deuces Double Bonus Plus which pays 800 for the 5 aces and out comes a 4.
I packed up and left after that.
But to the OP I did hit my first two royal ever on dueces granted the second one was dealt.

Yup did that the night before. This casino only has DDB I was at but for the night never hit 2,3,4 or Aces. Hit everything else several multiple times and one stretch hit 9's 4 times and then Queens 4 times in a row. But never 2,3,4 or Aces out of about 10,000 hands. Dam Indian casinos

Like many, when the money is limited or going down I find myself moving to DW (15/9) to conserve or rebuild. Playing multi-hand 5¢last night hit I a RF playing DDB and had several good hits including AWAK so I cashed out a nice ticket. Another bill in and soon began the DDB decline - twice triple 2's and then trip 5's with no quads on 25 hands. Moved to DW and then DW Bonus and was able to play another hour and half. Love DW Bonus / Dbl Bonus DW because of those big hits and their variance is about the same as DDB.
Ironically, both of our MH dealt RF have been on DW.
