New iPhone poker-like app
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if you would be interested in this. We've just launched a new iPhone app (it will be free on Saturday Jan 29th). We're trying to test a new concept that is based on bluffing - much like poker.
DuelQuest combines poker moves with sword dueling so that you can attack, defend or bluff. Just like poker, you and your opponent each have a hidden variable, and you take turns making moves. Depending on your opponents tells (moves), you can predict his hand (balance) and call his bluffs. The winner delivers a huge blow to his/her opponent, and puts you in a better position to win the duel. DuelQuest is a strategic game that isn’t dependent on luck or chance. The winner is determined by who is able to read their opponent better and preempt their attacks. You can play people from all over the world, so you’ll never play the same strategies twice. There’s a leader-board to track your world rankings, and you can play DuelQuest on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Does this type of a game sound interesting to poker players? Being a casual poker play, I like that I can try to read my opponent. What do you think?
