Quick Quads contest chat.
So while playing a few sessions of the Quick Quads contest it amazed me some of the chat I was reading.
Things like "I am playing perfect BP strategy and cant get more than 140,000 points."
In order to win those things, you need to be DEALT something. Generally in video poker tournaments, the person who is dealt a Royal (especially on a multi line game) is the one that is going to be up there on the points list. Being dealt a Royal is going to be 400,000 points in that one hand! You are not going to get there drawing 2 pair here and there.
Also, for the Quick Quads, you cant play "Perfect Bonus Poker Strategy" and expect to win at quick quads or be on the top of the quick quads leader board.
In this game, if you were dealt a quick quads you were set, and the people who were on the top of the QQ leader board were dealt at least 3 QQ's (I am not a gold member but can put two and two together to figure the hands).
I normally don't play QQ's but it was interesting holding different hands for QQ's..
If you were dealt 66442, you held 6642 to pull another 6 for QQ's...
If you were dealt TT55 / 8844 / 6633 / 4422 / those were the best 2 pair you could have to draw a quick quads.
If dealt something like 99967 you hold either the 9996 or 9997 and go for a 2 or 3 to make a quick quads.
Other tournament strategy's applied like trying to force Royals and other big hands.
I didn't get a chance to play too much, but had some OK scores. I was only dealt a few winning hands nothing huge, but had fun. Sometimes I would play to just force QQ's, never holding a picture card if no pair... or dealt 95423, I would hold 954 to try to pull two more 9's... So it was interesting to see how many QQ's or not I would pull.
