Borgata - Atlantic City

When visiting South Jersey try the Borgata. I go there often. It a younger crowd but I like it. But be careful, they have many different games that payout differently. They have all types of payouts for video-poker. Look for one that pays good.

For instance, on some machines 4 aces pay more than others. If you like Keno, some machines pay 400 coins for 10 out of 10; others pay 8000 coins...same game.

I guess all casinos work this way but I notice it most at the Borgata since I go there most.

Wow. I'm going to pay closer attention to payouts within the same casino now. I always thought they would be pretty much the same for all machines on the same floor. Good tip!

What is it that you like so much about the Borgata? Younger crowd sounds fine to me but what else is there... good atmosphere?

I strongly believe that the Borgata is the best casino in NJ by far. In every way EXCEPT video poker.

Limited selection and marginal pay schedules. I prefer to stay at Borgata and play at Caesars who has tons more poker options and mostly with better odds.

The changes over there have been really great.

You got to read the pay table on every machine. Even the one next to you. It can be way different, casino's will do you like this. One is 9/6 the next one might be 8/5. Also your dollers might be a better paytable same machine then 50cents

I play at the at the Taj Mahal in AC. I think they are good with comps even for VP players.

Totally agree.  Borgata is the closest thing to Vegas in AC, but there is only one bank of Game King machines(quarter)and when it is busy-fugettaboutit.  They have a bank of nickel triple bonus machines with a 100-coin max that are fun to play(when I'm losing) and lots of joker and multi-strike machines.  Best video poker in AC is Showboat and Caesars.

Let me talk about something different at the Borgota.  THE FOOD COURT.  Can you say Fatburger at 3am.  Yum.  Give me one with a fried egg and bacon.  And for those health concious, get the "wedge" salad with blue cheese.  super yum.  On the other side of the room, Tony Luke Old Fashion Philly sandwiches.  Get me a steak with double sharp provolone and light fried onions.  my girlfirend loves the japanese food their also.  Plus you can eat and watch the plasma tv's all around the place.  In my opionion, the Borgota buffet on the main floor is my favorite in AC.  And to add frosting on the cake, place yourself on a machine near the ladies room about 2:30am and check out the girls cat fights after they get a few drinks in them.  Oh.. the borgata babes.  need I say more

Yum , nothing like a Fatburger no matter where you get it.
When you want one , you got to have it.
I feel the same about White Castle burgers too. The grease, the onions,
really hit the spot from 1 to 3 am..
 
In and Out Burgers ain't bad , if you can find one.

MY GIRLFRIEND AND I LIKE THE BORGATA FOR SEVERAL REASONS. THE VARIETY OF SLOT AND POKER MACHINES, THE PLAYERS CLUB, COMEDY CLUB, AND ENTERTAINMENT THAT IS THERE. THERE ARE DIFFERENT PAY SCALES FOR THE POKER MACHINES SO BE CAREFULL. ON THE DUECES WILD, SOME WILD ROYALS WILL PAY (WITH 5 COINS BET) 100 COINS OR 125 COINS.
 IT IS HARD TO EARN COMP DOLLARS ON VIDEO POKER HERE. THE TAJ IS EASIER TO EARN COMPS BUT THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE.
 THE FOOD AT THE BORGATA IS GREAT.
CEASAR`S AND SHOWBOAT ARE GOOD FOR VIDEO POKER, BUT I JUST DON`T HAVE ANY LUCK THERE.
