Premonitions and Happy 5/5
Premonitions run in our family (which I listen to) and this was my first hand of the day at Isle as I sat at my favorite machine. It was defaulted to Super Aces which I rarely play. Seeing the Super Aces a premonition told me to play a few hands before switching to my usual NSUD. $100 in and the hit deal - the first hand!!!

Sweet C had an even better trip. At L'Auberge she built a $100 to $600 and then hit this Spin Poker jewel...
[/IMG]
Then switching to single play $VP she hit this beauty.
[/IMG]
A few minutes later I caught 4 Aces...
[/IMG]
Then the next day as we were leaving Isle after lunch, I suggested we play one more $100. Within 20 minutes she had this hit...
[/IMG]
and then caught the 2's w/kicker; 4's w/kicker; and 3's w/kickers twice before we called it a day. Her only regret.... she didn't catch the AWAK this trip.

Wow great hits! Larry, how often do you play, and do you usually win every year with those kind of hits?

We play frequently. Many times we drive 2 hours to the casino every week. Sure would be nice if they offered legal gambling (as compared to all of the illegal gambling that is going on). The $ money Texas would gain. Lake Charles surveys show 70+ % of players are from Texas on a 1 1/2 $ M/daily take.
Back to your question except for two years we've had a net loss every year. The hits depend on a lot of what we play. This year i've moved from majority play on 5¢ multi-hand to 3/5 multi-hand 25/50 play. This has brought a huge increase in big hits and "G' statements.
A historical perspective:
2009 14 RF / 11 "G" statements we were playing 25/50/$1 VP.
2010 moved to 5¢ multi-hand for majority of play. 7 RF / 2 "G" statements.
2011: I moved to 3/5 25/50¢ play and then MH 5¢. So far - 18 RF (8 off my one machine; 8 RF off the Prog. DDB bank of machines Sweet C plays; 2 RF other machines.) We have received 13 G" statements mainly based on our higher denomination play. Sweet C's only $1VP led to her only "G" this weekend.
In lieu of the tax implications I will be moving toward more 25¢ 3/5 play for the rest of the year either that I'll need to take out Fed Tax out of payoffs.
Keep in mind most of us have to use part of our winnings to feed the pot to keep playing. This past weekend my first hit became seed money while our 2 day trip moved to three.

Thanks! That's all a little beyond my comprehension seeing that we get to play maybe once a month if we're lucky. I've hit royals before and get those pesky w2g's, but they don't bother me at tax time because I keep a gaming logue that zeroes out all the winnings. I suppose too many w2g winners would increase our AGI and require more creative tax preparations however. Do they take tax out of your handpays in Lake Charles?

It is the AGI that sometimes kills. Lots of G's also creates a problem since we have to also file in La. even though we are non-residents.
