Mary,
People with more expertise will probably respond but here are some that I keep on a cheat sheet. The higher the "V" variance number the more volatile. I don't remember whether the Variances came from Wizard of Odds or another site and the numbers may be off a little or rounded but I use them to help me play low Variance games.
Jacks or Better V=19.5
Bonus V=20.9
Bonus Deluxe V=32.1
Deuces Wild V=25.8
Deuces Wild Bonus V=32.6
Double Bonus V=28.3
Double Double V=41.9
Joker (Kings) V= 26.3
Royal Aces Bonus V=181.8
Super Aces V=63.4
Super Double V=37.9
Super Dbl Dbl V=50.5
Triple Dbl Bonus V=98.3
White Hot Aces V=44.3

Man----I have to admit I'm a little surprised at some of the differences (variance).

as a general rule the more of the payouts are on top hands royal flush quads quints 4 wilds 4 aces the more variance job the lowest as one big hand royal flush
