Have you ever been playing, and your best friend says something like, "Can I borrow just a couple quarters?"???
Well, I'd like to hear from you on this category.
About 5 years ago, my BEST friend (and brother-in-law) was down to his last few quarters. We were playing DDB at the MGM Grand, about 2am. I had a decent amount of credits left, which I realized only lasted me about 20 minutes. He was down do his last hand and for some reason needed 1 quarter to make the 5 play. I agreed. He struck-out, and continued to watch me. Well, to make a long story short, I got down to may last (4) quarters and needed an extra quarter. We were both broke. So I hit "deal" and wouldn't you know it, up came 4 Aces with only 4 quarters in.
You know the rest of the story.
A friend preventing you from winning

At least it was'nt a royal that you short-coined. $750 lost if it had come up when you were playing 4coins. I cringe when i see people hit short-coin royals.

Sometimes I think the machine knows that there is less money in as that has happened to me many times on different hands. Usually the scenario is.... it's late, I am tired and I am down to less than max, don't want to put another 20 into the machine. It happened to me on a royal with three quarters in. It was on a cruise ship and my husband was waiting for me for dinner. Down to three and there it was. Of course, I blamed him.

bigboy,
Pretty much most of the casino is the same as far as machines go.. the elevated area close to the boardwalk that used to be the non-smoking section is now the smoking section. Also, the area of slots that are close to the poker room is now another smoking section (about 150-200 slots or so..) There are still a few tables you can smoke at, but not very many. And also, the high limit area (Sultan's Palace) is smoking. Finally, the elevated area of slots (mostly nickels) close to the Hard Rock Cafe/Bengal Club area is now smoking. Everywhere else is non-smoking.
What Taj should do is move some of the more popular games (and DEFINITELY more video poker) to the smoking sections. Get our input, then move them accordingly. I know that the bank of STP machines that I play frequently is one of the areas that I see a LOT of smokers. Most of the regular STP and Multi-strike players that I know are smokers.

Hi NJmike! Havent seen you around in a while! They really put no thought in this nonsmoking thing. The people that play the STP are mostly smokers. Im talking about the people that will play there for hours. I am giving them some time to make some adjustments. I hope the do move some more poker machines because right now the lack of different games in the smoking areas is really upsetting to us. MOVE SOME STPS! Or put in some STP Multistrikes-wouldnt that be grand?!
