Went over to the isle saturday for a short trip,we went to a dinner put on by the folks at the isle.So we got over about 2 pm and played for a few hours.I ended about 40 dollars down ,my wife lost and so the little i had won went down the shoot. The dinner was a buffet style and they had a band playing and then a drawing for about 5000 spilt 5 ways 2000,1000,1000, and 500 twice. Then we played til about 1am and i hit 4 0f kind 5 times but no big hits,my wife still was on a bad streak so when the day was done we were in the hole about 600.So sunday i got up and went over to lac, i let my wife sleep in, and had no luck, until i was ready to leave i stoped and played ultimate poker and walked out of lac with about 350 dollars profit.Headed back over to the isle and went to the casino and just played 25cents ddb at the bar, then i went over to get my wife up around 10am. we packed up and loaded up the car and then went back to the casino for a couple of hours.Well i hit 3 more 4 of a kinds but all small hits up and down.my wife kept losing. Well finally i play some 100 play and twice i was dealt 3 aces and both times i only drew of a4 kind twice. I have notice that the isle is very hard to hit the big jackpots.Talking to some regulars there views were the same.So the we end ,up losing about 600 when it was all said gambling gas ect. I like the comps and cash back at the isle but outside of 1 trip there this year it is a tough place to win big. There is no doubt there machines are tighter than most.

raven,
How did you like the new poker set-up at Isle? Could you tell if they've changed the pay tables at all since they were moved? How was the noise with them out in the open area? Guess we'll head over there after we get back from Mo and seeing the new grandson.

I like the new poker room at lac as far as the isle the old video poker machines on the big boat there was nothing in there location. The new location was close, hit a lot of quads but all small hits. The paytables were as normal. I concern myself with finding a hot machine is always my first on my list. I am lookinf for a edge just because a paytable favors the player, does not mean your going to win. It helps but not a sure thing.
