Interesting Article
There is an interesting (at least to me) article in the May 2007 Strictly Slots magazine. it is written by Bill Burton and is titled "Money Management".
Under a paragraph titled "Undeniably Wrong" he speaks to a book on video poker in which the author spends the majority of the book denigrating the experts who encourage players to use the correct strategy and to pick the best pay tables. He ( Bill Burton) goes on to say that when revealed the Author's strategy was just in effect a Martingale system for video poker.

And if you knew more about this guy you'd understand that he's no different than the Dan Paymar's or the Skip Hughes' or the Elliott Fromme's or the Dancers and Queens of the video poker world: They all have to work and/or sell piles of products and services in order to keep gambling money in their pockets. THAT, my friend, is the Undeniable Truth.

Suspected as much, thanks for the confirmation.

Rob, please provide evidence to support this assertion. It is well known that Scott won a quarter mil recently in a tournament. I think it is unprofessional to make these accusations without proof.

Geez, I was led to believe that these people are just "Capilist Pigs", that haven't a clue when it comes to gambling.

You're a little slow with the challenge on this because I've been threatened with lawsuits by most of your heroes over my knowledge of their baloney reporting. But whenever I say or one of my publishers says bring it on (with my written authorization to quote me), this bunch become nothing more than noise in the wind.
Since you mentioned Queeny I'll help get you started on the common sense track. I take it you know the story of how the tournament began. She didn't have the funds so she was partially bankrolled by another couple who did have the other half of the $10k. She said "they" won $40k while getting the 1.3 million points but I know that's untrue. I can prove it but you don't think I can so we'll eliminate that one. When "Brad" won the $500k the resulting strife over who pays the taxes (reports how much income) vs. who's officially RESPONSIBLE to pay tax on $500k and how much - may not yet have been resolved. We know he's 100% responsible to the IRS, but the problem was how much the other party was requested to hand over to help ease the pain at tax time. 50-50? Not so. If it wasn't for the other party our resident heroes wouldn't have been able to play. What's that worth?
Lesson to learn: If you don't have the money to play in a rope 'em in tournament then you should stay away. Winning isn't always the simple pile of cash it's made up to be.
