It's usually Double Double Bonus.  Usually 2 rounds, 1 each day.  Good luck.

The last one I that was sponsored by Harrahs consisted of 2 sessions, one each day, just like divit stated. You start with a certain number of hands to play, say 250, that you have 3 minutes to play them in. Once you get started get into a comfortable playing pace so you don't play too fast as to screw up but give yourself a second to think the play through. If the time ends and you haven't played all of your hands, and it does happen to some players, then its your loss. Pray that you get a few good paying hands such as aces or even a royal.    Some people see their first day score and don't bother to show up the next day and thats a mistake because you stand a fair chance of getting a decent score the second day that may very well put you into the money. I am talking from experience here because that same scene played out for me at the last tounament I played in. My first days score stunk but I went back the next day (after all it still is only about 3 minutes out of your day) and I put up a good score for the day. I went to the awards banquet later that night because I wasn't goiing to turn down a free meal and when I got there I saw I ended up in 50th place which was good for a hundred dollar bill in my pocket.    Nowdays I think Harrahs awards casino credit or free play instead of cash. That kinda stinks but thats the way it goes.    Hope this info helped and good luck.

TED how in the world do you average playing 83.3  hands a minute?  That is roughly 5000 hands an hour. You might want to re-think that tall tale you posted.

I forgot to mention the tournament is usually 10 minutes in length.  I have been in some where you are given x credits and play those down.  Ted is right, the payout  is in casino play.  You can pick the Harrahs property you want the play at.  You'll have your choice of slot (VP included depending upon the casino) or table games ($25 chits for even money bets.)  The table play is play until you lose.  It is not match play.

It's also true that several won't show the next day if their score is low.  Even if it is low, play because you never know what is going to happen.

I played once with a friend.  He didn't even place on day 1 but day 2 got a good score and ended up placing 5th overall for $4000.

Of course, this is all based on history, who knows what the rules of the contests are this year.

edog its no tall tale. Please read where I wrote: YOU START WITH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HANDS TO PLAY, SAY 250, THAT YOU HAVE 3 MINUTES TO PLAY THEM IN. See where I said SAY 250? That was merely an example. Now if I said say 250 hands in 5 minutes would that be a more manageble number chief?    As for the tall tale, I STILL have all of the promotional information including the free t-shirts and stuffed animals that were given to the contestants !

divit, $4,000.00? You MIGHT want to rethink your tall tale. Kidding divit, kidding. I really couldn't resist. And this being Ash Wednesday, I ought to be ashamed of myself.
