Post by Lucky Larry »

0-6 trips and the year's losing streak continues. Posted so everyone knows the law of averages catches up.

Larry, Sorry to hear it. Does 0-6 mean no royals, or just losing trips?

That's okay Larry.  I'm with you man.  Haven't had much in about a month.  Nothing worth taking a picture of at least!  It'll come back.  Seems if I stay away for a while, when I return my luck comes back.  Hang in there buddy.

0-6 means losing trips. I've had several 5¢ multi-hand royals. By this time last year Sweet C and I had hit 13 RF (11 on 25¢ or higher and I had already been dealt two multi-hand RF). So far she had one RF this year.

Interestingly, her last two RF (Dec. 18 and Jan. 4) have both been dealt RF on a progressive 25¢ machine.

I know I'm not alone but misery loves company. Keeping track of our play over the years has allowed me to better expect losing and winning streaks. Kinda of the same way tracking our daily stock markets gains/losses helped me learn to cope with the market's ups and downs. I wouldn't suggest everyone track the market daily but it helped me being a novice.

Were so used to you posting pictures along with your written posts of your exciting good streak hits last year. Maybe your luck will change if you'd show us pictures of your most miserable hands, too.arrrrggggghhhhhh.................

Larry  are you getting dealt good cards or are the machines just eating your money. Are you always in the hole as of late.Everyone here in San Antonio that plays are in the same boat. Lake Charles ,Vegas and Shreveport. One of are guys play big time and is very good and his last 3 trips to horseshoe  in Shreveport he has just been pasted. In all his years playing he told me he has never been beat like this.My view is its a computer and any computer can be set any way they want.

Raven, Not on the East Coast ... maybe all the competition over here is making the casinos loosen up the VP machines?

Mama,
If the streak continues losing pictures to follow.

Faygo,
Lucky Larry refers to my luck in marrying Sweet C not my gambling luck.

Raven,
On almost every trip lately I haven't hit a thing for the first couple of hours which puts me down early. Last trip I caught 3 RF out of 20 hands on a 4 hold after 3 hours of losing. Hits continues and I went up and then everything went down hill as I continued to play.

While I normally play low volatility DW or DWBonus my timing hasn't been good and my concentration seems off. On one trip I even tried TDB and caught 3 Aces w/kicker 3 times on 25 hands and not one AWAK. The same trip had 3 deuces 4 times (20-25 hands) and caught only one quad deuces.

I realize I'm probably pushing so I've tried changing pace of play, machines, and even once went up to the room one trip after the first hour of losing and then came down a couple hours later. I know it's our play since others are hitting and the machines are still 98-99% return.
