Old VP Game, anyone remember?
at resorts in AC, there are two machines that are old, circa early 90s that still have the 4 color monochrome graphics and have games like triple devil poker along with keno, etc. Well they also have plain Draw Poker (8/5) and this one game that I played for the first time that has me blown away.... It is called BONUS GOLDMINE POKER!! Anyone know or heard of it? Or better yet, anyone PLAYED it at Resorts in AC like I did the past week? It is actually a blast, and I made a few bucks playing it....iy works like this: It is like standard Bonus Poker (7/5) with 4 aces getting 400 and 2, 3 or 4s getting 200. 2 pair however only pays 1 to1, and that is because of the unique feature of this game called the Goldmine bonus: On full coin bets where you get a full house, a Bonus game initiates where a screen appears with 5 (five) gold nuggets and you pick three of them and they reveal random coin credit totals that become your payout for the fullhouse. Now here is where it gets hazy: the game advertises that you can earn up to 1000 credits for the Bonus fullhouse, but while I played it my payouts ranged from a low of 70 to a high of 190 for the total of the three nuggets I chose, and the individual values of each nugget I chose were from 15 credits (low) to 115 (high) and anywhere in between. No where in the Help or Info section did this game explain anything more about the Bonus and how it works but I get the sense it is randomly determined each time and that the 5 nuggets that appear are given random values that COULD total up to 1000. Anyway, the few times I played it (25 cents version) I always made money, from From a low of 15 bucks for one session all the way up to 120 bucks for another hour long session. Fullhouse frequency was normal and like I said the lowest I ever received for a fullhouse was 70 which would make the paytable technically a 14/5 lol!!! But I think the absolute LOWEST you can get for a full house is 45 since I found a few nuggets with only 15 credits in them so 9/5 is the minimum I guess, but it doesnt seem likely you would only get 45 for any fullhouse. What do you guys think of this? I like the game, I like the results I had and I like the possibility of getting a big payday for a simple little fullboat!
