Double Down Stud

We went to AC this weekend. Arrived Saturday around 930AM. We had lost both days bankroll by lunchtime. horrible. Not one 4OAK and not one bonus round on the slots!

Sunday a tiny bit better. We had a few wins here and there (we did get 5 Aces on DBDW $2 denom machine for $1600. We also had a few other 5OAKs and wild royal to keep us playing. Then Everything went south again. OH THOSE VIDEO SLOTS WERE JUST HOOVERS! STP s*cked too.

OK so we decide that we are going to play quarters with our last $200. I play DDB and my DH that usually watches me play decides to play Double Down Stud. Now normally we play JW but for some reason he plays whatever game is on the screen and its DDB. "why are you playing that" " look at the big payouts" "Well thats for a 4 OAK, thats pretty hard to get"

Before the rest of the story-does anyone know...when you are dealt your 4 starting cards is the 5th card already decided or is the machine still shuffling?

OK so my DH says oh I just got DEALT 4 sevens in my starting hand! Cool! 1000 coins! Ok maybe you should switch to DDB-Why?-Well thats not going to happen again that was really lucky.

Well he proceeds to get 4 6's for 1000 and 4 2's for 2000 coins! So we go back to the dollar slots and get a few decent bonus rounds and walk out with another 1070 bucks.

So before heading up we decide to play the $70 in quarters again. DH goes back to the Double Down Stud-again I say you switching to JW-no way! OK. I put my last 20 in DDB and I say heres the last 10 play JW. No Im going to play ddb again. okaaaaayyyyyyyy. Well he gets 4 Aces for 4000 coins!

He now thinks this his his personal ATM and I keep telling him lucky he was. LOL OH he hit the first bunch of 4OAKs in maybe a 1 hr period (he also cashed out for 50 bucks a few times) and the aces in a 15 minute session!)

Interesting trip report, Boops. I am under the impression that the machine is still shuffling those cards after you hold four on the deal.

Thanks Marie! I know thats how it works with regular VP just wasnt sure with the DDS.

I have played this game like no other when I am in Vegas because that is the only time I get play it.  They have one at Harrahs right behind the table games by the escaltor and it always tears me a new one.  lol.  Glad to see it actually does hit but I play at the $1 level.

We were talking about playing dollar level next rip-just for 100 bucks but we will see. What game do you play on it spxChrome? We used to like Jokers Wild but he did so well on the DDB we may never go back to it.
