A Biloxi Bonanza
Just returned from a little golf & gaming trip up to Biloxi. The folks up there have really worked hard to get things back together after Isaac. The weather was great, and the golf courses were in beautiful shape.
Things started pretty slow in the Beau Rivage casino for me. I could not generate anything in VP. Played some slots, and was happy to get a $4K payout on a Quick Hits machine..
I returned to playing VP, and was starting to quietly mutter to myself about the poor quality of the deal hands that I was getting - nothing to draw to. I went over to play some table games, and ran into hot dealer after hot dealer. After a few bourbons, I was getting a little depressed, so I decided to call it a night. On the way to the elevators, I passed the bank of four Double Pay machines. I figured, what the heck, one more VP session, so I sat down to finish my last drink. I queued up the 3 line $1 TDB game, and after getting a few hundred dollars down, I thought to myself "well, more of the same - no good starting hands", until.....
$72,000
This is the second time that I was fortunate to receive a dealt RF playing Double Pay - the previous one being @ Caesars LV on a Five Star machine single line Double Pay for $64K. This one, being 3 line, was a bigger payout, although I had to pay Mississippi state taxes on it. After some Federal Tax withholding, in case I finish positive for the year, I took the remainder in a check, staying within my VP money management discipline for the gaming trip.
Rounded out my stay with a few nice hits on both slots and VP, with this $4K gem on the last night in town.
Now it is off to Las Vegas next week for the Seven Star Signature Event. I hope that my luck holds out..
