Funny Hand
Playing Monday on my birthday and pulled several nice tickets from this machine then my timing went cold so I switched to 100/1 to try to change my timing and caught this funny hand. The closest I had gotten to a RF in over 10 hours of play previously was 3 to RF. Glad it wasn't dealt or I'd be depressed. I just sat and looked at the screen for almost a minute laughing.

So, it is possible to be on both ends of luck on a single hand. Nice Royal the others not so much.

W2G,LL. But does that qualify as a dealt RF, since it was on a naked re-deal? I would think that would be even harder to get, because you drew it from only 47 cards instead of all 52.

He said, 'glad it wasn't dealt', billyjoe, what is your deal? Stop posting if you are not able to, mentally speaking. Go away and get your act together.

If it had dealt the RF to you L L - $1250.00 isn't bad.

faygo,
Not even close to a RF on the remaining hands. I assume the machine will often put display the best hand of the group but you're right, there were a whole lot of loser hands in this redraw.
ginfre,
Thanks
billyjoe,
I wasn't sure but I considered it a "dealt royal" too. Just so strange to see one pop up with no hold.
brewerrki (sic) getting old and couldn't tell if its an "i", "j" or "l"
I would have taken the hand pay and laughed all the way to the redemption machine just like Sweet C when she caught dealt 2'sw/A on 50/1 TDB.

Well - Point #1: I do not plan to stop posting. Point #2: I don't know what 'act' I need to get together.
It was clear to me from the pic that LL caught his RF on a re-deal. Hmm, there's that word 'deal' again.
I define a 'deal' as getting five cards when I am not holding any, whether it is at the start of a playing hand as the original deal, or in response to throwing all cards away, and receiving 5 new ones.

Usually, the chances of getting a royal on a 5 card redeal, or draw, are greater than getting one on the original deal, because there are, overall, fewer possible outcomes. But, what is discarded can affect the chances, particularly in a game like deuces wild, when potential royal flush cards are discarded. I usually refer to the original 5 cards of a hand as the deal, and any subsequent cards taken, the draw, whether it's one, two, three, four or five. But calling a 5 card draw a redeal doesn't bother me at all.

Back in the days (1992 thru I'd say, 1998) when it was still common to have actual COINS in and out in playing many video poker machines, I'd often find myself sitting around a casino in Vegas, usually standing in line for a buffet or a show, with loose change in my pocket, like two or 3 quarters, and for poops and giggles I would put those two or three (sometimes just one) quarters in a machine and play a hand while waiting....I must have done this a thousand times over the course of time when coins were still allowed to be put into machines, and I never hit a royal or even a premium quad doing this..... But since the time of Tickets, I have had situations where I wind up with odd amounts or a stray quarter or two on my ticket and since I am anal retentive about even dollar amounts and having all my bills lined up properly in my wallet, I often wager one or two credits to even my tickets out. Since 2001, I have hit about five or 6 royals and a couple quad aces betting one or two stray credits.....with games like quick quads (6 credits) and certain multi line games, it is even more common to have odd ball credit counts so I need to resolve NOT to give in to the temptation any more to bet one or two credits for poops and giggle, mostly because I never giggle but sometimes do poop when I hit a great hand and receive crapola for a payoff.
