Dreamcard Warning, beware this
Was playing deuces wild (25 cents) dreamcard recently at Caesars AC and was dealt the following four card prior to the dreamcard: deuce King(h) deuce deuce I hear the seductive female voice announce "Dreamcard" is activated, and I immediately perk up and wait to see the fourth deuce appear for a 1000 credit win! But wait, the computer inserts as my "dream" card the ACE(h), giving me the WILD royal flush.....I say (out loud) "Oh WTF??!?!? What is this Bullsheeeeee-ite??!!?" I immediately change my "dream" card from the Ace of hearts to the fourth deuce and hit draw and receive my 1000 credits......but still, I was miffed and somewhat concerned for the lesser experienced, or even drunk, players who might encounter this scenario and either not realize what has happened or miss it altogether and get screwed. Obviously the programming in these Five Star Single line dreamcard games has a few kinks in it to not always reveal the BEST paying hand when a Dreamcard is activated. ANyone else seen such blatant errors when playing Dreamcard, with either the single line version or the Multi Line version of the game? I say we use this thread to document and record all possible glitches as a public service warning to the general video poker audience.

When dreamcard first came out it had many problems. I'd guess the machine you played is one of the early models that hasn't been updated.

I can't remember any of them now. I just remember there were several. I think it was during a beta test of dreamcard that we got started but a few were found later.

I've actually never seen this Dreamcard game at any of the casinos I've visited (some AC, mostly Mohegan). I've only played on this site. Deuces Wild version seems like it's difficult to remotely win any type of big hand.
I have to admit that it took me awhile to figure out that you did have the option to change the actual dream card that you've drawn.

I play DW in the current dreamcard contest here and am able to beat the 3000 credit bogey just as often, or just as less, as other games. The 4 duece's appear every 4900 times, theoretically speaking, according to wizardofodds.com, but the RF is a little bit higher than other games, according to them. But, hey, with perfect play the 100.76% return is a game to get next too. I've been gold here on three occasions, only for the training. I have to admit I'm about a 95% player. But, thankfully, the misses are on low paying possible hands. Hard not to hold three aces, right? LOL (yet, I KNOW I've done that in a casino, lol)

The stats referred to are for the plain vanilla version of full pay deuces wild. The deuces wild pay scale in dreamcard is not the same. And, the dream card feature drastically increases the frequency of royals and quad deuces. The wizard of odds indicates that the return for dreamcard deuces wild with the same paytable as the contest one is 99.91%.
