And the hits keep coming....LOL
Comped for two nights at the Hard Rock...down down down...went to see "The Rascals" which was pretty neat...then spin poker nickels did nothing, no single line quarters so I go for the 15 quarter 3 lines...I was so interested in the girl next to me hitting an AWAK on $1's I didn't notice my own accomplishment!!! Had a great evening and even got an autograph from Gene Cornish who was eating breakfast at the Blue Plate!

Nice hit - but I am confused, Luv. RF says 4000, but "win" says 3747. Is the HR taking a 'percentage' now ?

Another reason to call in "Memorial Day weekend!!! Nice hit, Luvz.!
I LOVED The Rascals, even when they were The Young Rascalls. Great songs. Glad you have a lot of luck with a wonder time.

How do you get comped for 2 nights just playing nickels and quarter denominations? Just curious.

It's not about the denomination that one plays, it's about the amount of total dollars played through in a given amount of time that the casino uses to calculate theoretical loss. Based on this is how the casino determines who is eligible for comps in most cases.
And if someone is playing nickels or quarters on multi-line(3/5 play) games for hours and hours, those dollars through sure do add up to some numbers deserving of comps.
For instance, playing 5-play nickels at max bet on most games is $1.25/hand. Play 10 hands/minute thats 600 hands/hour. Play 4 hours and that's $3000. On a game that has an expected return of 98% that's a theoretical loss of $60. Now if the same player is playing 3-play quarters ($3.75/hand) all the numbers triple.
The casino will then take a percentage of that theoretical loss and offer the player comps based on that value. Every casino is different, but the comp percentage returned can range from 10% of theoretical upwards to 75% and higher.

The way I got comped was I had a friend from out of town play on my card. She racked up some impressive #s and I get to live large for a few months...I usually get $20 in freeplay if I'm lucky, and when I go now I get $200-$300. I am riding this gravy train for as long as I can. I've been pretty lucky and have hit several RF's and got my first W2G. I know that there will come a time (probably in July) when my normal play will exclude me from the Plum Room and all the other goodies, but I'm just grateful for all the freebies I've gotten to date...
