2..3 million jackpot at Mohegan Sun
Some weeks ago, I had just arrived at Mohegan in the evening and on the way to my favorite 3 cent spin poker machine, walked by a two seater penny machine where a lady had just hit the above jackpot (progressive) about 30 seconds before. Nobody was there yet, but within a few more seconds security, several suits, etc. showed up and roped off the area. I am sure they tore the machine apart too, but I didn't hang around long enough for that. The winner was pretty calm and no more excited than anyone hitting something pretty good on any given day. Good for her....On a side note, while playing 15-9-4-4 deuces the other day on a no points quarter machine, I had some good bail out luck. Playing 5 at a time for about 8 hours I was out 250-, which means if the deuces hit, I would still be down. So I switched to 6 coins with only minutes left to play and was lucky enough to hit the deuces and get bailed out for this session. I had 4 chances during the day with 3 deuces and missed out on all of them. This time, I had two deuces and a 4 and 6 of spades. I know this is a toss up call, but I tossed the 4 and 6 and caught the other 2 deuces. I was wondering if that was going to happen as the machine was cold all day only hitting one wild royal, and two 5 of a kinds.....good luck and health to all..PS.......I have just about given up on Royals to bail out my sessions...going on 200k hands now without one.

I'm not sure why you think it's a toss up. Drawing to the two deuces is clearly the superior play (and not just because you hit them).

Holding the 4 and 6 of spades is listed as a low error on Wolf VP. I know that over time any loss can add up, but for me if it is early in my session, sometimes I will go for the smaller win to make my $ last a little longer. Since I up my bet over time on a losing session, I try and wait as long as possible before I have to increase my bet. I am not saying that everyone or anyone should even play this way, but it works for me. At least so far.....At the same time if it is late in my session, I may toss a 5 and 6 of spades and just hold the 2 deuces, hoping for the big win before I go home even though doing so in this case is also listed as a low error. Bottom line is I hate going home a loser for the day.
