Welcome Betty! Tanqueray (my bride) and I have been very fortunate playing there. The casino is immense and requires a lot of walking from the room to the casino. Not ashamed to say I got lost in there twice last time we were there. The accomadations are very nice and the room service great!
Good Luck if you decide to go.

any thoughts on North Carolina HarrahsVery poor maintenance of the VP machines. Played there about a dozen times.I had never found a VP machine that didn't have a problem with at least onebutton. Either sticky or didn't work at all!I wrote them twice about it. But since they are the only game in town, they have noincentive to fix them. I would not recommend them.

Yes, maintenance was almost nonexistent up until 4 weeks ago. Someone must have lit a fire under the management because now they are much better. We visit about every other week and love it!

They still have the old units there?
There has been a corporate directive to replace virtually all the "old" VP machines at CET properties. Paytables the same?

I have visited Cherokee several times while in NC, taking a break from Florida summers. The golf course there is outstanding. I am a 7Star with Harrahs/Caesars, and as such, get to stay in a lot of nice suites. The new tower at Cherokee has the finest suites of ANY property that I have visited.
As with most properties these days, the machines are tough, with skinny VP paytables. I did not experience any of the maintenance issues that were mentioned, but I do know that they get quite the crowds there, so the machines get a lot of play.

I am planning to start golfing again this Spring starting with our trip to Vegas in April. As 7 star perk, do they provide golf clubs along with cart and green fees? Really do not want to keep up with clubs if I do not have to. As always, thank you for your help.

I never had the need, but if you asked, I would bet that they would accommodate you.
