New IGT videopoker game ?

Post by marie meijer »

Little River Casino, Manistee, MI. DOUBLE DRAW ACES: Quarter machine (or higher denoms) BUT 20 coins per hand ($5) so has $1 look. IF you are dealt two aces, up pops "keep my score" or take a chance on another "draw again". Saving the two aces would give me 20 coins ($5) and return my bet. IF I draw a third ace for 60 coins ($15) , that ace is removed IF I opted for the 2nd draw, leaving my two original aces held. Unfair! Especially since that elusive 4th ace showed up on the second draw but by then the 3rd ace was missing.Four aces: 3200 coins ($800) and awak 8000 coins ($2K) Royal: 16000 coins ($4K) Shortly after arriving, I happily hit four aces for $800 and a few hands later, awak for $2K and more quads later for $400 each. However, I believe it is not in my best interest to play this tricky ace machine again. While it's a beautiful N.A. casino w amazing decor including grotto and waterfall, it was prob. the last on the planet to go TITO!

oh Marie we have played that game too... don't really like it... with that game there is no chance of getting 4 aces dealt to you either... that game has been at Little River for a long time... they keep moving it around, very seldom do you see anyone playing it.. as far as that goes most of the VP machines are always empty... the last 3 times we have been up there it has been a total bust.... we always win there but not lately... used to be my favorite place but not so much now... but we keep going back to Manistee LOL...

Thanks for your post, mendon. We were there Wed and Thurs and I had to search for open VP seats. In the past, I usually lose there. This time, I recovered my loses from Turtle Creek at LR. Did not hear "ROLLING ON THE RIVER", Proud Mary, once. I suspect an angry addict broke it! We took my husband's sis with us and she was thrilled w the decor, pool, personnel, food! Fun to see it through someone else's eyes for the first time. An awak on progressive yielded another $1k. Of course, they wanted some back asap. They will NOT take state taxes out, only federal, and did not provide the form for state taxes. SLOW hand pay.Jude523 will soon be celebrating their anniversary at both Turtle Creek and Little River. She often plays Double Draw Aces there. 7/5 on 3/5/10 line. DDB in front of casino.YIKES! Also hit on TDB end next to self serve beverage stand facing back doors. It's a looong drive from metro Detroit.

wow I can't believe that the VP machines were busy... did they have a lot of busses there on Wed and Thurs ? I have noticed when the busses come in that there is more people on the   vp playing one nickel or quarter at a time... or playing keno...did you have the breakfast buffet there... can't beat that.... the drive for us is about 31/2 hours.. long enough for me... sounds like you had a good winning time tough... congrats.... we were in Detroit for the Dream Cruise... stayed with a friend who lives on Saint Clare Lake... it was something to see once ! Who knows maybe we will bump into each other at Little River sometime... I will look for the big winner on a VP machine

Oh by the way LR went under new management and have taken a lot of the perks away... if you were playing you could get a drink for 50 cents.. that's gone.. I was talking to a lady the last time there who lives in Manistee and she said it has really gone down hill since new management stepped in... a lot of locals quit going... machines seem to be really tight.... I know that might bring some comments LOL..... but I couldn't find one machine that gave me anything... or if you got into a bonus you were lucky to get a couple dollars back... really noticed that things were not like they used to be....that was my fav place but the last several times is has been ugly as all get out.... free money was always put on your card at midnight Sunday... not anymore.. not until Mon or Tuesday.. can't remember, but it didn't work for us... used to get free rooms every month now haven't had that all summer.... so.... ???

That dream cruise is certainly worth seeing! We did not make it this year but usually attend. Peeps are cruising classic cars some 12 miles all week on Woodward but Sat. is the biggest day! Everyone seems so happy to be there! Lake St Clair is too beautiful and near son's home on the Clinton River. We often boat there. Mailed L River flyer provides two $50 River credits per month and two comp rooms per month plus other extras. Many buses on Wed for that Sr day. They often paged individuals that their bus was leaving! "Meet your party at the fireplace". Gorgeous, huge, floor to rafters big stone fire place with tables and chairs available there. We hit that wonderful breakfast buffet twice including made to order omeletes while we watched.Tks for the info. Just getting there once or twice a year does not yield all that mgnt info! Two self serve beverage stands negates the need for drink hostesses. All the popcorn you can eat is a great feature!
