Joliet Visit Sept 2013
Just returned from a visit up north, staying at Harrah's Joliet. I had great weather and good gaming results.
They are cracking down on camera use in the casino, but here are a couple of pics that I took when they were not looking...
FINALLY got those first four perfect cards in DreamCard, and then...
------
------
I usually do not play this game in the casino, but thought I would give it a try for a while. I actually caught the Joker for the additional $4k ...
-----
-----
Next trip is Biloxi in a couple of weeks for a golf tournament, and of course, a little gaming.

Nice hits billyjoe, last couple handpays there they gave me a bit of hassle while I was taking a couple pictures too. You just need to get them to "be distracted" when you take the picture.

Nice going billyjoe, That dreamcard game looks like it would be fun! Did you find it to be costly to play? Again good hits. Sam

After the royal I bet he didn't! Sorry I couldn't help myself. And nice pull of that DreamCard, billyjoe. It doesn't help you're addicted to the version of the game that makes it appear the least.

I know - TDB. Whay can I say ?
To Sam's question, that DreamCard win was on a Five Star Poker machine, so at the $1 level, it is $10 a pull. Other DreamCard machines are 3-5 way, which at the $1 denom would be $30-$50 a pull to play.
BTW, I was playing a Good Times Pay $1 machine in High Limit next to a guy playing 10-way, $5 STP. That's $300 a pull ! He had two bricks of Benjamins in $10k straps in the tray in the front of the machine, and another wad of $100s that he held in his hand as he feed them into the machine. I actually got nervous playing next to him, and moved.
I think Roveer (Mr STP) would have been proud of him.

Joliet offers $5 10-play STP? I definitely didn't look closely last trip, but that seems like a lot higher payout risk than I expect the casino to take. Although you'd obviously rather be playing Powerball with a hit like this, but there still is a 1 in 243.65 million chance he hits a miracle dealt royal with 10X and Joliet has to pay him $2,000,000.
Do you remember what game he was playing? I'm doubting it was their best game ("Illinois" 98.91% Deuces).

I love the rush of going for the Joker in Ultimate 4OK. Nice hit. Also... was that dream card on a 5 star machine? If so... I am going to guess you played some Double Pay again!

Yes and Yes.. I actually played a little DoublePay at the $2 level for a while, trying for a $128k payday with a dealt RF..

In High Limit, against the wall by the cage, is a SuperStar machine which has higher denom STP, amongst its other games. He was playing $5 DDB Ten-Way, but I do not recall the paytable.
At the same time, he also was playing the machine next to him (on his left - I was at a machine on his right), which was an Ultimate X game. He was playing $2 Ten-Way, which was $200 a pull.
