It was a RF progressive for $10,xxx and some change. The progressive was on a bank of 8 DB machines. It was really weird because I distinctly recall saying outloud that "these machines don't pay" and then I switched to a different machine where I eventually hit it. I remember it dealt me 4 to the RF in diamonds and I drew one card to hit it.

If we are only talking VP I was playing JW STP 3 line and got the 3x multiplier. Of course I got dealt junk. I was frustrated but I remembered that VPFW says to hold a card so I held a 7 and got 5 7's on the first line! I won $3000! Regular slots on a cruise I was playing $1 2 coin max bet 5X machine and got all 3 5x symbols for $10,000!

A Vegas trip, about three years ago. Started a session with a $2 Royal on BP - hit that before I even got a Full House - followed about an hour later by a $1 Royal. Played about breakeven after that due to a steady diet of quads, and ended up with my best session ever - $12K. Got to leave the machine for the very best reason - exhaustion.
That trip turned out to be my best Vegas trip - won $17K, including 2 quads on $5 play the hour before I left. Wish all my Vegas trips were like that. No serious dry spells the whole time I was there.

1-1-2000 after the New Years Eve concert with Rod Stewart at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas my husband convinced me to put $300 in a $10 DDB machine in the high limit area--usually I just watched him play the slots--and to my astonishment I got 4 Aces on my third hand and won $8000. Never played that high of a denomination before or since.

I was dealt 4 to royal, king high on a $5 bonus poker machine many years ago at MGM. OF course I drew the suited 9 and hit a straight flush. The royal meter was at $42K. Had I won, I would have torn up all my winnings because I don't like Benjamin Franklin's face. He never smiles!---CWA---

Ben was one of the worst presidents we ever had.
He had STD and fathered children aside from with his wife. Come to think of it he would fit in quite well today and could probably make a run for office.
He might just develope some special plays and strategy's for VP and write a free column. LOL
He most surely would have invented the internet long before Al Gore.
