Highest Progressive Seen

Post by spxChrome »

According to my calculations most $1 progressives are hit around $5200.  Just wondering what is the highest progessive you have seen on any denomination.  My highest was a .50 machine was over $7,200+.

Progressives can have meters that increase the jackpot at very different rates. The only way to know is if you happen to be on a machine by itself and calculate the rate. I play at a casino where they have progressives set to lowest possible vaue and they NEVER get above 10% (4400 for dollar).

$2 Bonus 7/5 @ Texas Station. Bank was commandeered by team player group @ 18K was finally hit @31k. I *****ed like hell to Slot Director at inabiliity to obtain a seat. All they care about is a paycheck and bottom line. He's no longer in the industry. Hope I had something to do with it.

I've seen a $1 game over $10k, but it was on a multi-game machine where playing *any* of the games on that machine increased the meter on all five games.  As such, if nobody played one of the games, its meter would keep climbing and climbing because of the other games on the same machine being played.

What wins a progressive? Royal flush?

That is normally the case ... but not always. There are Joker machines that have progressives on the 5K rather than the RF. In addition, you will often see some of the bonus games have progressives on high paying quads, straight flushes and the RF all at once. Some deuces also have progressives on 4 deuces.

I hit four aces on a $1, single line JOB progressive in Lake Charles that paid me $520. At the time the RF was $4,600. Sorry, don't recall the paytable.
