This should get the AC juices flowing....
Zombie slot machines to invade Atlantic City casino
"The Walking Dead" slot machines will be lumbering to casinos this weekend. The Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J., will be the first casino to feature the game, which is based on the popular television show about zombies. Aristocrat Technologies said the company received predistribution orders for more than 800 machines after its unveiling at the Global Gaming Expo, making the game its most popular new game ever. Then when people play them for hours on end, they can leave the casino looking like The Walking Dead.

very funny posts, but once again, we laugh because its funny and we laugh because its true....I cannot speaok for all of you kids, but I even notice that with myself, if I allow myself to sit and play for more than 2 hours and then I go and look at myself in the mirror, for about 20 minutes after getting away from the machine I have this type of pall over my face and eyes.....I've read off the wall reports about people getting hypnotized by slot & vp machines and I think its partially true. these machines do partially "mesmerize", thats part of their pull and money making dynamic. If I allow myself to forget to stay hydated while playing, i do kinda look like "the walking/wheeling dead"......and so do a lot of other people! on a different note, back in the 90s when in vegas, I used to marvel sometimes at the number of "elderly" people on oxygen I used to see in the casinos, people who appeared to have one foot in the grave or 5 minutes to live, shoving money and yanking on those machines like their life (what was left o fit) depended on it.....do not see that as much in AC these days, probably because, up until 1997 or 1998, Vegas had a very LARGE retireree population with old folks from Lake Mead and Henderson and Boulder city filling up the casinos especially downtown. another version of the walking dead I guess.....

You are right on about that 2 hour rule. Can't drive anymore more than 2 hours either without a break. The bladder appreciates it too. Lots of O2 tanks in use here in Ct. Luckily, if you are a level 2 or 3 player at Mohegan, they will shut down your machine for you for 1-2 hours. If you find a nice slot attendant, they will also hold it for you for a few minutes while you catch a quick break. Sometimes, I look in the mirror and say to myself...who the hell is that...he looks really wasted...
I also have a new idea for a new zombie game based on vp. The jacks, kings, and queens will be zombies. The cards will look dirty and beat up, but still legible. There will be a bonus section too where you play a hand against a table of zombies and get extra credits if you beat them. Oh well, too late to patent this now, since I have put it out there for all to read. Maybe a company will follow up on it. By the way, I never saw the show, but loved the early monster and scifi movies from the 1950's.

And, how about this...
Hard Rock could purchase Atlantic City casino, sources say
The Revel Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., could be acquired by Hard Rock International, sources say. The 1,399-room Revel emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier in the year. Hard Rock, based in Orlando, Fla., has been looking to establish a casino in Atlantic City for some time. New York Post (12/19

I hope someone actually has a marketing/advertising plan laid out before Hardrock signs anything...... I've said it before and I will keep saying it until its addressed......I live in Massachusetts, and for the last 6-7 years since I moved back here from the west coast, I see on a daily basis advertisements and commercials for Las Vegas the city and for specific Vegas properties (I have seen 3 ads this week for the Monte Carlo alone!) In the last 6 years, guess how many ads I have seen for AC??? ZIP ZERO ZILCH NADA A fat fuggin donut This needs to change, and I do not want to hear about how "local" casinos (in my case the Mohegan-Foxwoods leviathans in Connecticut) make advertising ineffective for AC....thats total BS and capitulation, and one of the reasons they are in the pickle they find themselves now..... I should be paid for this advice, no?
