Caesars AC
I stayed at Caesars on Dec. 22/13 because my son, nephew and cousins son were all able to secure military leave for the Xmas holiday and I wanted to treat them to the the fabulous brunch at Nero's. Harrahs is my home base in AC but was able to get a comped suite at Caesars for after brunch festivities. Late that night went to play a little, lost at Daburglars QQ machines, then ventured into the high limit area for a little 8/5 JOB. Was doing ok nothing big, holding my own. Gentleman sits down a few machines from me and with in a minute hes standing waiting for slot attendant. I walk over cause it just me and him in the whole room and $4200, aces with kicker. tell congrats, go back to my machine, 5 minutes later hes standing again, RF, $4100. Now this guy isn't even excited, congrats again. 10 minutes later hes standing again and calling me over, $5400, aces with kicker and aces. He was playing 10 hand DDB I think. In less then a 1/2 hr. $13,700. People do win in AC, if I didn't see it I wouldn't have believed it and by his reaction it seemed like a common occurrence to him.

I think most long time vp players don't show much emotion on big hits. What drives me nuts ( and I may catch some flack for this) are groups of women screamers who win a couple of bucks on a penny machine. Sometimes I have to move or stuff cotton in my ears if it gets too bad. I think the casino sensed this about vp players and just moved vp machines into an isolated section of the casino at Mohegan Sun. The worst thing about that at least for me is it is a smoking area and there are plenty on chain smoking vp players unfortunately.

If I don't get excited over 400 for 1 or 800 for 1 wins, then I really need to go to GA, imo. I was excited as hell over each of my 3? 400+ for 1 wins this year.

Now now, I never said "NO ONE wins EVER"....and I am positive I said Harrah's, along with Borgata, seems to have the most "normalized" Video Poker/slots machines, but I have not played as much at those two spots as I have the other AC casinos where I am STILL 100% positive that many of the video poker machines are not what we have come to call "normal, NEVADA style" video poker.....I am still in AC as I type this and I will be updating in other threads my current trips info and revelations (a little now, more when I get back home to New England on Sunday)

Being positive is a very positive way to go through life DaBurglar. I read that in a fortune cookie I got a couple weeks back.

Just got back from another trip to Caesars. Brought my cousin who just got fired from his job. Found a bank of 9/5 JOB, he plays $1 hits a royal for $4000 in first ten minutes. Buys us a great dinner @ Mortons, loses about $500 on various other game around the casino. We have breakfast before leaving yesterday and he wants to play another $100, we go back to same bank of machines he makes me pick one and bam ten minutes later another royal $4000. Unbelievable and the place was empty. Lucky me I hit 4oak with kicker on TDB for $500. Maybe I'm going to switch from Harrahs to Caesars.

I have been carrying that fortune in my wallet for over 30 years now!!!! Now I am hungry for some Chinese take out. Luckily, a great place is just down the street. By the way, great hits on those Royals cousin.
