Post by Lucky Larry »

Went to Isle Saturday night. Thanks to Sweet C's two AWAKS within about 15 minutes on Sunday we were able to keep playing and stay over Sunday too.

Way to go Double L. You'll have the conspiracy theororists all talking about the two quad aces pictures; same kicker and the card colors are together. Ah, spooky. Get Mulder and Scully on the phone and tell the "Lone Gunmen" to be on alert.

Play 100 hands at a time, and bet only 1 credit per hand?

Wouldn't it make more sense, if the aim was to bet only $5 total, to play 20 hands at 5 credits per hand?

I realize it wouldn't make any difference for the dealt five aces, but it sure would for that very rare dealt royal.

Double "WOW". I was sitting two rows away and thought she had forgotten she had already told me she'd hit AWAKS when she called to me on the second hand. Neither one of us could believe it!

The irony of the 5 Aces was we had talked how long it had been since I had been dealt 5 Aces and the fact that the last time it had happened had been the third trip in a row with dealt 5 Aces. Would love for that "hat trick" to occur again.

Sweet C has a special touch for AWAKS in both Dbl Dbl and TDB. During the same session she was dealt 4's. I could be dealt AWAK and probably not hit it - button would have not held, or something.

I realize it wouldn't make any difference for the dealt five aces, but it sure would for that very rare dealt royal.

The night was a story of two sessions. Before dinner I had been playing 25-40 full pay hands and hitting. Both Sweet C and I had hit a full RF and I had missed on 25 and 30 hands 4-RF. She was dealt Deuce RF three different times one with 2RF with 4RF. We went to dinner and when I came back I lost my timing.

When that happens, I will often switch back and forth 100x1 and full pay since a RF is the only hand that isn't a factor of 5

We have friends who only play 100x1 for hours knowing a missed RF (1:40K) is a rare occurrence but the extra hands can increase the chances for big hits.

But for every 1 in 649,740 rounds on average, they cost themselves $2750 when the dealt Royal comes in!

I was happy I was playing max credits per line when it happened to me. Now the number of lines...yeah, I would have liked a lot more of those...
