Tunica Visit - April 2014

Post by BillyJoe »

Back from a short stay in Tunica. Weather was awful - cold and rainy. Played one round of golf at Cottonwoods, which was soggy and windswept. Other golf I cancelled.

I did make it to the Memphis Grizzlies' game on Friday. It was a nice experience in the CET Courtside Suite in The FedEx Arena.

Played mostly at Horseshoe, where I stayed, and GoldStrike. I went over to Roadhouse for a bit, but did not find much to play. I never made it over to Harrahs (closing in June).

Not a great gaming trip, but not a disaster either. A bit of a loss overall. Once again, though, I scored a handpay playing on FreePlay..

---

It's off to Vegas on Wednesday this week, where it will be much warmer. Playing golf at Shadow Creek, and then a two-day Caesars' golf tournament at Cascata.

How come you didn't have your VP.com hat on at the basketball game? Why didn't you represent? I hope nobody swiped the hat off your head.

Congrats on the freeplay hand pay.

I've been given secret instructions from webman to get it back for him.

Thanks for sharing!!

Roadhouse mostly has similar crap that Horseshoe has now. Roadhouse has better Double STP though (9/6/5 DB 98.3% max), so I'll play there even though Double Bonus sucks as a game. They used to have 9/5 TDB w/Double STP there, but they got rid of it.

And teach me how to hit big on freeplay. The little freeplay I usually go nowhere.

And well played on hiding that full house payout. 40, right? I don't recall gold strike being good enough to offer 45...bah.

Nice win on the freeplay. Too bad you had lousy conditions for golf. Good luck on your trip to Vegas.

We just got back. Just okay gambling trip but the weather was perfect. Have fun and enjoy.

The FreePlay streak has just started. Usually, I get about 60% back. I hope that it continues in Vegas.

Yeah, I did not intentionally hide the paytable, but I certainly was not proud of it. They only had two machines with $1 3-line TDB, so not much to choose from.

Good luck with that. I added a chin strap.

As usual good story and pics Billy. Nice hit too. Amazing how much us veteran vp players look alike. I could be your brother.

My father, I heard, was kinda 'frisky', so you never know...
