That's the way to do it. Don't let greed over rule common sense.

My wife and I love Atlantic City as well. And I thought I read somewhere that the machines were rigged and it was impossible to win there. Congratulations on your winning session and good for you for hanging on to it.

first off, congrats, and if you truly are "done" playing, then great, dont give it back. But here is where I get annoyed at what everyone is now doing in distorting, and forgetting EVERYTHING, that I have written on and about AC.I never said I "NEVER" hit any hands....I NEVER said I hate AC, on the contrary, I have MANY times in the past said how much I like AC and the many things it has to offer, WHICH IS WHY I KEEP GOING BACK!!!!!!   Everyone got that>????     it is only the video poker that I have an issue with......So here you have a person hits a nice hand, playing a denomination I myself RARELY play ($1...I only play 25 cents, ALWAYS), and then quits...obviously jetermcaw is not too concerned with comps or point levels or what not....fine, that is another way to approach video poker.     When I talk about AC video poker, I am talking about 5 years of play on 99% games......over a million PLUS hands!     My results were abnormally bad, especially when I compare them to the 17 plus years I have played in Nevada markets, and I have been trying to explain (or receive an explanation) as to WHY there is such a HUGE difference between AC and Nevada.     And to re-clarify and re-state what my issue with AC VP truly is, so that people understand it has NOTHING TO DO with my attitude or any other esoteric facet of my being:     In 5 years time, after a large sample of hands on 99% games, I have a return percentage of about 70%  (if that), and my zero value hand rate (which should be 55% for  truly random VIDEO POKER game) is around 67%!!!       IT IS NOT THE FACT THAT I LOSE, it is the DEGREE and consistency with which I lose at many AC Casinos, whereas I have NEVER EVER encountered such results anywhere else......

I have had runs of 70% for a few straight sessions, but about 95% overall which still puts a 99% machine into the slot category as far as I am concerned. While 95% probably doesn't sound too bad to some people, that amounts to 40-50G in the course of a year of play. No way I can keep that up any longer. Planning some serious damage control as we speak. Maybe a part time job as a Walmart greeter? No disrespect intended. Most of the folks doing that job are super friendly and have a good gift of gab. Lots of them are seniors too!

".obviously jetermcaw is not too concerned with comps or point levels or
what not....fine, that is another way to approach video poker."  Well no Mr. DaBurglar that is not the case. I do not play strictly for comps I play to win real money, the comps are an enhancement of winning. If I'm having a day where I'm up and down all day I keep playing keeping an eye on my tier score. If I'm getting close to a level where I would can bonus points and I'm still having an up and down day I will keep going to get to that next level. But I will NEVER play just to get comps. That is Stupid.
