June 2014 Vegas Trip
Just returned from Vegas. One very hot week in the desert. Played two rounds of golf, Cascata and Shadow Creek, in spite of the heat.
I saw two shows while there - KA and the new Jubilee. I wasn't that impressed with KA, as I felt that other Cirque shows were better, but I thought they did a nice job in updating Jubilee.
Dinner at Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio was, as always, fabulous. I thought about doing Giada's new restaurant, but I thought I would give it a little more time to settle in.
A nice day at The Spa at Bellagio, and spent Sunday at a pool cabana at Mirage, with the misters going full blast, watching the final round of the US Open.
The Caesars President's Dinner was Saturday night. Great band, and a nice meal. Didn't win any of the big prizes, though.
So now, on to the VP results....
(crickets chirping)
That's right - NO HAND PAYS !!! Can you believe it? No carry-over from a breakout VP trip in Tunica earlier this month. This is the first trip that I can remember with no W2-Gs. I played at Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage, Aria. I even stopped in at The Quad and The Cromwell. I did well at the tables, but not enough to overcome a losing trip. They still have the 9/7 TDB DoublePay at Bellagio, and 9/6 TDB DreamCard at Aria, but good paytables didn't seem to matter on this trip. I liked the casino in The Cromwell - small and cozy.
Well, I can't post without at least ONE picture, so here I am at The President's Dinner.
Yes - we are pinching each other's butts...
Up next is a trip to the North Carolina mountains in July, with a stop at Harrah's Cherokee.

Well if a great picture could equal a hand pay, with that picture alone you may have had a better trip than you did at Tunica. What a great picture. If it were me, I would enlarge it, and frame it, and find a wall to put it on.
Sorry you had a bad gambling trip. I guess the only thing hot in Vegas on this trip was the weather and the women.

Can't decide which I like better. The story or the picture. ...Well, I cannot tell a lie...Its the picture hands down, but keep both coming. ...Hope to get up to Cromwell Ct sometime in the next few days to take in the tournament up there. Used to never miss it with my dad, but at 90, it is just a little much for him. Beautiful day here now. 76 and the sun just popped out.

The girl on your right looks like she would be a blast to pal around with. The girl on your left looks like she, um, not so much.
I'm glad you had some fun; now get your butt up to Chicago, hockey puck.

Wish my stomach was flat as those girls. Well it was when I was 22 ...speaking of which that is about all that is flat on those two... ..I wouldn't want the one on the left to get too pi..ed off at me. She looks like she could throw a mean left " hook " ...No pun intended..
