July 2014 Cherokee Visit
Took a two day side trip from my visit to the North Caroliona mountains this week to attend a birthday party for a friend's wife held at Harrah's Cherokee. The party was in a private room at Brios, hosted by their host from Aria in Vegas. Folks were there from Vegas, Charlotte, Seattle and Sarasota - quite a group. I played golf Saturday and Sunday on the casino's golf course with some of the attendees. We had a great time.
Not too much time was left for the casino. I did play a little on Saturday. Only one handpay for my short time investment. Missed the kicker, though

Nice... My wife and I both love Cherokee. The odds are pretty good for a native casino and the scenery is beautiful. We'll be there at the end of August. Leave a few jackpots for us.

It makes me sad that Harrahs can't even offer you 9/5 for that amount of money.
But then again the one time I went there, I played on an electronic poker table that raked up to $5 hand! If it was a live table with a dealer, fine. But an electronic table that went 25% faster? Jerks. At least I didn't have to tip that unit I guess. It gave me crappy cards anyway.

I refuse to play electronic Poker tables...it is BullSh*t! pardon meI urge any and all players to simply AVOID any game the substitutes a Human Dealer for a computer...whether its Blackjack, poker, Roulette or whatever.......just DO NOT PLAY IT! the casinos will get the message and stop eliminating PEOPLE & JOBS from the equation,

I generally agree, but at the time I played there, poker games with live dealers were illegal at Cherokee (legal now). At the time I went there, I think all table games had to have some electronic component. But I think the table games were still played with casino chips, so they needed a human for that. Which made it all the more stupid. Live poker was totally electronic though.
