8/12 Trip

Post by Lucky Larry »

Two day trip - one day to Isle, Lauberge and then Coushatta. End results a total loser for both of us. No royals, only a couple of deuces and 5 aces for two entire days of play. Did talk to Isle Senior Host about continued reduction of VP machines.

Good news is we both received notice of a free cruise from Isle.

Blah, sorry you didn't hit more. What did the host say?

Yes, Larry, you will now be free to pay port charges, taxes, tips, insurance and beverages during your 'free' cruise.

Last year was much better but lots of people around me have been winning this year so I guess last year kind of spoiled me. Enjoy your free cruise. Even if you have to pay tips and port fees its still a pretty good deal.

[/QUOTE]well Billyjoe no doubt is the most experienced "cruise" guy on this forum it seems, so I take his word for it that these charges must be, at the very least, annoying......at the very most, significant. What's he looking at Billyjoe, in terms of the size and scope of these charges?  I'd like to know since I might take a cruise on my own time & dime next March to the Carribean.

The host is also a "senior player development" director whom we know. We've often talked since he and his wife are also VP players.   We explained the reduction and separation of the three remaining machines (by location) now kept us from playing together. We also explained as a result we were now playing at competitor casino. He indicated he would bring it up to the GM and new "Director of Slots". I'm know he is sincere but I don't expect it change anything. I've had similar conversation previously with the GM.

Yeah, but with the same cruise offer to Sweet C, our daughter, and my cruise offer we are going to be able to have both daughters and spouses all go on a "family cruise".

One daughter also got the "all expenses paid" cruise from New Orleans complete with party before and after cruise and vouchers for the second "port charges, etc. cruise.

I like at least when one of us wins since it gives us money for the next trip.

Too bad about your recent outing Double L. I guess DaBurglar is relieved because you didn't take him up on his offer to stake you.

Sorry -no quick answer on those costs.
