One of those you never know days

Pulled a real Marathon late last night and most of the day today. I checked in so late the only thing they had open was the Executive Suite on the top floor. Too bad I was by myself. It even had a kitchen and huge living and dining area with beautiful appointments. It was comped so that was even better, but I did have a prior rerservation.
     Anyway, I was up down up down for the entire trip which is still better than straight down. I was just about ready to call it a day was and down about 200. I also had family stuff to do at home when I noticed one of my favorite machines in the non smoking area opened up. Unfortunately, someone had just cashed out a Royal for 1600-. I threw in a 20 anyway knowing I only had about 10 more minutes I could play. On the 5th or 6th of hand of job I was dealt 3 High Clubs and without even thinking held them and drew. BAM....Pulled the Royal for a grand. Almost ran to the car. I can see Billy Joe's reply now. Good Olds, but you know every hand is completely independent. I know, I know, but we gamblers are just so superstitious.

     Thanks CC and WM. Wish the girls would say that, but I guess they have reserved that line for Billy. Lots of hours on those trips. Average 10-16 per with few breaks. Not complaining. Just have to time when to quit a little better.

If only we had a crystal ball we would know the perfect time to walk away. But it is better than those trips we all have from time to time that all we do is feed the monkey and dig a deeper and deeper hole. Thank god those type of trips don't happen that often.

Yes, thank goodness for that. Forgot to add in my original post that earlier in the day I had hit a Wild Royal on the Double Down Stud machine with 19 quarters in. After doubling the bet on the first 4 cards and hitting the Wild Royal, the payout was 950-. At that point, there was really no excuse to keep playing at a high level. Should have quit or played at a minimal level until I had to go home. The point is by the time I hit the Royal, I ended up about where I was 10 hours before and no better. I guess that is why there are no clocks in casinos. I always keep a cheap watch out in view on my machine. Usually once or twice a session, someone will ask me the time forgetting they have it on their cell phone. The casino doesn't seem to care for it either and even made a comment once or twice on what the watch was for. I think they thought it was some sort of device or they just didn't like the fact that people could walk by and see the time. I just tell them ( security ) to keep it and just bring me back a nice Rolex or similar from one of the stores. They are not amused and one guy ( I have known for years ) even took me up on it and brought me a fake Rolex from his friend as a joke. Oh, the real reason I keep the watch out on the machine is the machine surface or evenn the padding cuts into my wrist when playing. I could put it away, but being a watch buff from way back, nah can't do that.

What time did your favorite cocktail waitress get off work ? I am sure that she would have been impressed . Could have sat in your living room, and just talked...

Actually, I have several favorites and certainly plenty of room for all of them in that suite. Unfortunately, not only will the employees get fired if they go upsatirs, the Mrs. has ESP. I would have been content to sit around and talk though or maybe catch a late movie. I'm afraid the selection I would pick from, might not be suitable for some, but would make for some interesting " conversation ".

I always carry a disguise kit for the waitresses so the cameras can't ID them.

As for movie selections, those are just training films - right ?
